    Mazda 323

Driven both 323 and a Familia. 323 is bit higher. bit stiffer suspension than Familia. it's the same with other brands as well. Brand new Corollas and Singapore market ones got bit higher ground clearance than Japanese Domestic models. part numbers different as well.
  4. Yep. it doesn't add more power. just the plugs lasts longer. but mine feels bit smoother, anyway that's the same feeling you get when you put new Standard plugs (Copper) brand new.
  5. true that manual method does not remove most of ATF (including oil inside torque converter) but most of the techs that i talk to me strongly advised against using a flushing machine to remove ATF. They said that it could damage (most machines use pressurized system to remove oil) torque converter and certain valves. And using a machine in high mileage auto box could cause serious trouble it seems. maybe thats why most of the agents not using this technique to remove oil.
  6. There are two types of Toyota Coolant. pre mixed (50-50) slightly pink coolant. and concentrated red coolant. i replaced radiator coolant in my car couple of months a go. herd somewhere that it's bad for the Gaskets and water pump if you mix with certain coolant types. (Non silicate coolant with Silicate based coolant) so got the Toyota red coolant and mix it (50-50) with Distilled water. i use Toyota red long life thing (i think that's a silicate free coolant, which already came with the car)
  7. I'm guessing it could be a Blocked CAT (If it equipped)..
  8. Is it true that in common rail Diesel engines, you need to use Super Diesel to keep the diesel pump and injectors clean?
  9. OEM shocks are bit softer than aftermarket KYBs. I replaced rear shocks for my 121 recently with OEMs. And it feels different when i compared with one of my friends car (same model) fitted with KYBs. Unfortunately OEM cost a fortune at dealers.. And Jaga, can you explain the experience which you had?

    Failed Emission Test

1st of all machan, whats the model? Is it Efi? Or carb?
  11. There were couple of LJ 7 series owners in AL as wel. Hope they could shed some light on this. Since LJ series shared the same engine series.
  12. Yep, it is. It gets signals from wheels ABS sensor.
  13. Regarding the swap, it's possible, have seen LJ78 which came with 2L-TE swapped with 5L motor (No point of swapping to 5L cos it's the same HPs with 3L according to the Wiki). if your considering More HP under your hood, why not consider Legendary 1KZ-TE??? well lets hope for the best.. This was the Result came when i Googled,

    Toyota Vista

Your gonna need the Transmission model code to see whether it's common among other models. it should be on Vehicle Name Plate under the hood Under "Trans Axle:".
  15. Ramco or Rhino that vehicle looks horrible. Indians might like those.. Defa not Sri lankans.. But Exporting Micro Cars to India is a good way.
  16. Thanks for the info machan.
  17. Lol.. looks like Maruti sales are going down the Drain these days..
  18. AD wagon is a good choice if you can afford it. Corolla wagons are in that price range too. if you thinking about luggage space forget Altos. there are few station wagons on the classifieds, but those are from 99, 00 manufactured years. if your thinking about resale value then you better consider either a Nissan or a Toyota Wagon. always a better choice than those Mini Vans.
  19. If you looking for a Buddy Vans i think the best around is Suzuki Carry with 1.3 Ltr Version. 1.3 Ltr version got Ample power than Suzuki Every. if you don't mind asking, what's your budget for this minivan?

    2010 Toyota Prado

It looks bigger than the existing model.
  21. what are the normal figures with non V-Tec motor? and what are the figures for cars with V-Tec Motors? since it's a Auto it could be a tranny problem.

    Mazda 323

Go For the 323 mate. it's got looks. 323 specifically got more ground clearance ( best suited for our roads) well built car than a City (Made in Japan). (Don't forget there's MFOC guys around, so you can get any help required and that would solve the prob with the agents )
  23. Did you check for any Gasket failure? sounds like gasket failure for me. check for any signs of Engine oil mix with water.. (Could be a faulty radiator Cap too..)
  24. AFAIK, Timing Belt should changed at certain K's but not the Chain. If chain equipped, it should last the life time of the Engine it seems.
  25. You mean Standard Copper ones? with Iridium s you can run up to 75,000 Kms. but you need to check them at least every 15,000 Km.
