Guys I hear little click noise when i release the clutch after shit 1st gear to 2nd gear. Or press and release the clutch on 1st or 2nd gear. I did small test. Lift the left front wheel and change the gear to 1. When i turn the wheel (it gets stopped and this in first gear) i can hear that click sound. There is play. The CV joint and inbound joint are in good condition. Re-grease them few months back and replace the boots too. Will this noise coming from the gear box differential side? This is EXi 98 and i noticed this issue with Exi 2000 model too. is this common issue with the model? Few Honda mechanics said this is normal. How true is this? sira Anybody know how to fix differential pinion backlash

Finally managed to take out the ventilation door in the Motor compartment. There is no way to take out the motor compartment out . you must remove the evaporator box and the repair will be expensive because you need to fill the AC gas too There are no 10 screws after remove the motor units. The compartment was fixed with metal clips so it was surrendered by the whole box Spent 2 hours to take out the ventilation door. It was really tricky job. Need to unscrew small 2mm screws which is fixed to control axel . it was easy to remove and really hard to fix it back. I did paste some sponge on the door and look it is now tightly closeting. Another thing is, for the best practice, the metal door angle for the hinge side needs to be re- angled. Because this door i think 1mm metal part and it could be bend due to the pressure of door seal. sira

So you now isolate it. do not jump to any other solutions as the root cause is the altenator. check the altenator with another unit ofr see the current flow via a amp meter.
-
Ok. i did not try that way. thanks for hightlightng. 1. remove the fan motor 2. Remove 10 , 3mm screws and you can remove botton part of the box after remove the botttom part. can you remove the upper part with the flap? please confirm sira
-
I did this earlier. so it is not easy you to remove the blower motor compartment while the AC evaporator is attached, so you have to release the gas and then remove both fan compartment and AC evaporator. but. if you can remove the motor from underneeth the motor comparment, some how you can see the flap and apply some of ait tight meterial. sira

have you had this issue with your old alternator? the last thing that you change is altenator . so if the AC is on, there are some amout of current will be getting thro the alternator and then alternator may work in full load. that time there is a chance to drop eengine speed as the alternator working high load please check that too sira

I'm really fed up with going to mechanics now. there are mechanics really go deep in to problem and isolate the issue. some of then just changing part and it will never ending unless you spend 50K for 5K parts. now i'm doing the repairs by my own. Went thro'with the service manual and some videos on you tube...etc. i got some mechanics who can take a advise. i believe this is not a rocket science and if you have a interest and time you can do some repair by your own knowledge . i'm so happy that i managed to fix my break problem recently and happy to share the experience with other members. thank you for the idea sira

Guys I did change 2 front calliper pistons as the left side got more rust. Done the repair with O ring and the dust cap. Bleed them all. (4 wheels as per Honda manual){1-rear right, 2- front left, 3- rear left, 4- front right} Yes there is slightly improvement on left front wheel now. But i feel it is not 100% perfect. this car got Master pump with primary and secondary pressure pipes that will go to brake proportioning valve (6 line – 2 in and 4 out) When we apply breaks i think this valve give a pressure to, Front right side and rear left side via Maser pump Primary line. Next While the peddle de-press the master cylinder secondary line go to proportioning valve and give the pressure to front left and rear right wheels (Please correct me if this wrong) My Problem is how can i test the proportioning valve if there is a block or malfunction How can i test master cylinder secondary line. can somebody help me to rectify this issue please if you guys got EK3 98. (no ABS) can you apply break at 40 Km and tell me how you feel it, (please be careful) . Thanks all Sira

Replaced the PADs and brand was NISSIN and feel still the right hand side front wheel is stopping quickly

Hi I was driving to towards to airport on last Saturday mooring and somewhere in seeduwa there was bike fellow entered to quickly .that time my speed somewhere around 70km and i apply the break , the car was skidding and i turned to .thank god no accident because there was no much vehicles on that time. This model - ex3 exi (98) does not have ABS. I noticed that the left had side front brake pads are worn but still can use because , to warning pin there will be another 1.5 or 2mm available(i think it's 90% worn) is this can treat as worn pads ? Other break shoe and pad for 3 wheels are good, Today i tried my car on free road. i felt that front right wheel stopped quickly and left side did not(90% worn break pad), Do you think the right wheel break is good as it stopped and right side is bad? Or right side must not lock and left side is good? Can somebody advise me on this please sira
