    Smell From Ac

I guess something to deal with your AC system. 1) Put some chemicals and Wash your cabin air filter. 2) If it does not work, get your AC system cleaned. Let us know if this works.
  7. Machan, there are couple of cases (I heard) and I have doubts about them. If we dont stop in this type of situation (in single cop), the perticular cop noting down the number and start a case against the owner that you did not stop the vehicle. Lets say you stoped at Maharagama and you stay in some where else, then cops will file a case against your vehicle and couple of days back your regional police guys will come to your place and arrest you. 1) Can they do that type of arrestment? 2) Can we argue saying that "we did not know if he is a real cop or not"? if so, under what circumstance we can argue? Sorry If i reopen the thread!
  8. Let the members have more info on your dream car. Try posting some more details like bellow; 1) Manul or Auto 2) Sporty or General type of a car 3) Registered or Unregistered etc
  9. Here are some more stuff... We are not this bad at all. Lets ask the same guys to read this... This clearly says how people drive in different states in INIDA. http://www.indiandrivingschools.com/articl...ndia-crazy.html One hand on horn, One hand greeting, One ear on cell-phone, One ear listening to loud music, Foot on accelerator, Eyes on female pedestrians, Conversation with someone in next car-"Welcome to India!!!" -A joke on driving in India in a Web site.
  10. This guy should go to Hyderabad or Chennai to see how the indians drive their vehicles. Believe me..No Side mirrors at all, No signals, No Pedestrian Crossing marks.. nothing at all. Hardly you see side mirrors in vehicles, even if they have, it just turned closed. Bikes, No Helmets, No Signal lights and No Mirrors, they think they drive some sort of a Jet. I dont think Sri lanka is that bad. Peri > Do you know this guy?
  11. Machan, What do you suggest to do when a guy just trying to pull the vehicle in front of you coming nowhere? I'm lost, it happens to me most of the time when i'm in a traffic lights. I used to stop my vehicle very close to the front vehicle. (I know i need to keep a gap) but, some I*iots comes and trying to pull in. once, one of my friends got hit and has to bare the blame since he hit the rear bumper of the SUV when he start moving. luckly, his brother works at some police station in Clombo and sorted out the problem. Man, i need a strong metal bumper in my front shell.
  12. I have Fb15 2001 Manual and does 10-11Km per Ltr in City.
  13. Damn! Sp*eymech?? No way. I had a very very bad experience there couple of months back. Once I had to repaint my rear bumper and they took 4 days to paint it, let’s say that is ok! but when I go take it from the garage, they have polished and waxed it with out removing the Masking Tapes, when I open my Trunk I noticed that they haven’t removed the bumper out from the car, they just kept it as it is and painted and the tapes were there as it is in the bumper as well as the inside the trunk edges. Even when I open my rear doors, I noticed that they have taped my door inside as well. I don’t know why they need to mask my door, since only the bumper had to repaint. Infact, i realised they have just painted WITHOUT removing the bumper since there was a small crack that they need to Sew & add Fiber. Also worse thing is, when I told them to remove the tapes, the guy came with a sharp blade and start cutting the tapes which they had between on top of the bumper and bottom of trunk. Paint in the edge of the bumper start removing along with the tape. Sir, PLEASE REPAINT. !!! Had to keep it for another 2 days.
  14. In my office, most of the people went to fuel stations as soon they got the messge. Let's hope gov: will not change the word.
  15. Oh Bad news!, Taking out the Sensor is not a big deal, it just need some set of "Allen Keys" but If the O2 sensor is completely dead, then you may need to replace it. But, give it a shot, I know a good X-A*W mechanic in Kelaniya, you can take it along with the diagnose report. By the way, from where did you get the scan done? Agents?.. how much it cost you? Let me know your phone number, ill give his contact.
  16. No machan, not by opening the engine Take it to a good mechanic and get your Plugs and Sensors cleaned up. Some times warning light comes on mainly when the heater in the sensor is faulty, that might cause because of the water. Be careful, some cleaning liquids might completely destroy your sensors. So better to go for a reputed garage and have a mechanic who knows sensor errors etc. Best is to do a diagnose first and have a sensor cleaning solution. Good Luck!! PS. Where do you live? by saing that people can guide you to the best place closer to your place.
  17. Machan , Never wash the engine with high presure water, I suggest take it a good garage and get it all cleaned ASAP.
  18. Haha True Machan, I have done the same thing couple of time, but once, the other driver started acting like a Monkey and started showing his fingers at me , later on I realized that he might be miss-understood my apologizing expression. Same way, if the other driver gives you a chance to take a turn in front of him, careful of your other side (left) while you wave on that driver (right side). Once, (In front of President College Rajagiriya) I gave a chance to a driver to pull his car in to the main road (from my left) and he just waved me (saying thank you) looking at me and he did not check the vehicles comes from his right side, guess what...., the Van came from his right side in the main road got crashed!!!!! Disaster...!!! So better make sure you are clear with roads and vehicles come before apologizing or thanking the other driver.
  19. eeerrh, i have a bad habit of keeping my right Elbow on the door panel when i drive. but, its more comfortable and relax, but i dont think its good for safe driving.
  20. Found this on internet; MANUAL TRANSMISSION DRIVING TIPS TO EXTEND THE SERVICE LIFE OF YOUR NEW CLUTCH 1. Do not rest your foot on the clutch pedal. Pressure applied to the clutch pedal can cause the clutch to slip and reduce the service life of the clutch release bearing. 2. Do not use the clutch to hold the vehicle on a hill. Use the vehicles brakes. Holding the vehicle on a hill with the clutch causes prolonged slipping and this will wear out the clutch prematurely. 3. Shift into neutral upon approaching stops. If traffic and road conditions permit, consider shifting into neutral and hold the vehicle with the brakes at longer interval traffic lights. When the light changes select first gear and drive away. 4. Downshifting as braking. Downshifting can be used to reduce the speed of the vehicle; however, excessive or aggressive use of downshifting can increase the wear on the clutch. Consider using the brakes and shift into a lower gear to match engine RPM’s and road speed. 5. Do not lug the engine and drivetrain. Lugging is driving in a higher gear (4th or 5th for example) when road speed requires a lower gear to correctly match the engine RPM’s to the road speed. The use of a higher gear than the engine speed and road speed requires is called lugging and creates unnecessary strains on the engine, clutch and transmission. 6. Pickup trucks must not exceed the vehicles gross vehicle weight rating. Carrying or towing excessive loads will reduce the clutch service life. The GVWR can be found on the drivers side door or pillar on the certification label. 7. Starting loaded pickup trucks in motion. If equipped with a creeper gear transmission, the lowest gear should always be used to start the truck from a standing start when loaded. Using the correct gear to start the truck moving reduces wear on the clutch. 8. Refer to your owner’s manual. Your owner’s manual will contain any required adjustment or scheduled service requirements. Clutches, when properly used, will provide a long and trouble free service life with a minimum amount of maintenance or driver attention. Use caution and sound judgment when driving any vehicle!
  21. Yeah, better be careful in "Lights with Cops"
  22. Machan Maliths, Thank you for the clarification. Mine is 2001 FB 15 ExSaloon, will this "learn" thing work for me? I'm just curious about it.
  23. I heard another story; If you remove the Battry cable for 15min and re-connect and then start your car, and by keeping the engine running for 15 min could reset you ECU settings. Is this a true statement? will that reset all the ECU settings to factory defaults? If there is a way of doing it, what is the time duration that needs the battry cable to be disconnected and how long i should keep the engine started?
  24. It is Nissan FB 15 ExSaloon - 2001 Manual Transmission and had a TuneUp in the recent past.
