  1. Guys, Finally we are at "100". Currently I pump 90Oct petrol and what if i switch to 95Oct getting the advantage of the fuel prize drop? 1) Will it be harmful for the vehicle if I switch to 95 at this point? 2) People says that the 95Oct give a better run (milage) than the 90Oct, is that a true statement or it just depend on the vehicle? I just thuoght of getting expert comments on this.
  2. Lets hope those minds wont change for some time!!!
  3. Yeah, Little help for the volets. News says it will reduce the prize by RS 20.00 staring mid-night (5th), Hope its not going to have huge queues around the city since its weekend.
  4. Guys, Yes, it was a relay issue and fixed it some time back. He had to clean the Relay clip and the relay both using some sort of liquid and then all set to go. thanks for the comments guys.
  5. Yes machan, this is correct. Most of the V*P figures uses these type of tricks for their personal vehicles as well.
  6. Media says, its going to be compulsory for all the vehicles in Western province affect from 17th November.

  9. Good Morning Guys!! Roads are nice... Lots of bikes... No rains, why?
  10. Well, I think i'm safe now. There is no more Misses in the morning or evenings. Maikk99 > Do you still have the issue?
  11. If those things has issues, you will get a continues misses even when you drive the car. Issue is, this was happen in the morning and afternoon (when the engine was cold). Its like this, in the first time you Fire the engine, it gives you a miss and then stops the engine. but, as soon as you turn it off, and fire again, then it gets start. This happends to me yesterday morning and afternoon, but today morning, everything is normal and gave me a good start.

  13. I AM SLEEPY!!
  14. I had the same problem yesterday morning and afternoon. But, when i start the Car today morning, it was ok. Is it because of driving in flooded roads?
  15. I Agree with you CarM. Ranil T >> Better do a market research on the same model, just take a look at current market value first, you might find a better one (Condition) with less than 2M... If you are a lucky guy!! Good Luck!!
  16. Yes, True. I dont know whether its illegal or banded, but they know that people use Detectors, Jammers and if they found that it fixed in your car, sure they will take it out and wont return back (this is what i have been told by a x-Trafic cop). I'm using Cobra XRS 9485 and bought it for 100$ from RadioShak in US. But, so far i never got caught. I really do careful when i have it on and when ever they stop me, i quickly remove it.
  17. I'm driving a FB15 2001 Manual. I feel 2M is little high.
  18. Star99, I'm using 2001 FB15 ExSaloon Manual car for last 3.5 years and never had major problems like sensor issues or any Engine or suspension issues so far. It depends on how you treat and maintain your car. if you treat her well, she will give her the best in return. Sensors - As i know, 2000 FB15 had this issue and has been fixed in later version. Ripper > correct me if im wrong. Hearing all the Cranky noises - I don’t know what you mean by this, I normally drive to Middeniya, (Via Rathnapura, Embilipitiya) once a month and i never ever heard any unusual noises like you said. Fuel - I do nearly 9-10KM in Colombo and 12-13 in Long Run *(with AC). Durability - FB 15 is not a Sports Car or something like that, and does not have Boost or anything . You need to be very gentle and smooth when you drive this type of cars and that will help you to increase the fuel. Common thing is what ever the vehicle you have, it needs proper maintaining, and changing oils, tune-up etc needs to be done at the right time. No matter how long you use it, if it’s in a good condition, will keep the re-sale value in a good level.

  21. Try DD (Double Distiller) or DCSL Old Arrack ..
  22. Yes, I agree with you. Suslan It will depend on the Vehicle Weight, Air presure of the tires and the other fuels system related matters.
  23. I drive Nissan Sunny FB15 2001 Manual car and does 10-11 km/ltr with in city limits with AC on, and some where around 13 to 14 in long drive. For me, the FB15 gives me a good level of outout, very less machanical issues, no major repares etc. All you need to do is, give her the best you can, then she starts giving her best.
  24. Alright, Now, lets try to find our the exact date (or closer) that they will enforce it. This will help all the forum memebers.
