  1. One of my friends has got same model and same thing happens. It does only 10 km out station. When ask others who use the same model, They also have the same experience. I think it is charactistic problem for the perticular modal. In this class I beleive the best car is STARLET EP 91. It is good in fuel as well as pulling power.
  2. Best place is agent.
  3. Dear Bro, Car manual says that normal engine lub oil to be changed in every 5000 km intervals in tropical countries. Servicing at the agent is bit expensive but better. Most important point is changing the engine oil and the filters in time.
  4. Don't know whether prestige will last.
  5. Also better if you can refil up to the same level and car should be in the same elevation. (Because some pumpers are stopping when the auto trigger of the hose poped up) You have to repeat this process from different filling stations and get a average because we never know pumps are accurate and the driving pattern also different.
  6. It is only the flash point difference. My car manual says that 90 (un leaded) can be used if the engine does not knock. My es 1 DOHC engine was designed for 95 but i have been using 90 instead of and no hassels so far. I have noticed that when i used 95 once it did only 9 km/lt but it does 10 km/lt when 90 is used.
  7. Dear Nisala. After all is your problem sorted out????
  8. My experience is 160 km/hr Car = Honda Civic V tec 2004 1600 cc Auto Road= Abhu dhabi- Dubai
  9. I also think Honda is the ideal. i am a honda fan
  10. Due to two main reasons this could happen. 1. Under compression. KE 20 is a bit old model therefore this reason is most possible. You can check whether it's engine oil burning. Thick smoke comming out from the muffler. 2. For better fuel economy, the carburator jets might have been thinned down. The best thing is to send the vehicle for a good garage to detect the problem.
  11. why the hell u are fixing eg8 lamps to ek3? It does not fit unless you modify.
  12. Dear Bro, there is a good (experience) man available at KOSGAS JUNCTION (In front of Sugathadasa stadium) you go to the place and ask carburator B...a. He charged 2500 Rs about year a go for carb cleaning and tuning up. Still the car (Honda eg8) is doing very well in fuel and smooth.
  13. Yes you are right. The picture is published in today daily News and they are going to open a new plant at hambantota for buses. They are planning to launch the first double decker in end of August. I am proud of it.
  14. Acutually I have been on this road at the speed of 150km/hours at one stage where the speed camaras are not available. Still I can imagine how it goes when something goes wrong. Phathatic situation. Isn't it? I also got this mail in the morning.
  15. Is your gear box manual or Auto? In which gear and what RPM u get the hum?
  16. GOOD YEAR probly from indonesia or Thailand. Am I right??????
  17. iF YOU CONCERN OF FUEL and the power you may go for a CIVIC ES1. You could find a registered K numbers which will suit your budget.
  18. 100% agree with you. good driving but bit expensive to maintain. 6 km per litre in town. Out station only 7-8 km. Civic is better than Accord as far as fuel is concerened.
  19. If you can indicate the name of the garage that will help others. Who is Mr Pxxxxx??
  20. [He is asking the constant speed.
  21. The best economical speed is 50=60 km while RPM is less than 1800.
  22. I think problem comes to the seller of the permit rather than the buyer because Income tax department may ask explanations that how the permit holder earned money for the new car and acordingly tax to be paid.
  23. Totally i agree with you. Still better to go for the agent and you may get a some sort of assurance. (Acutually my car (HONDA)agent is very trust worthy as far as the service is concerned)
  24. [Dear Brother, One of my very good friends is using MAZDA and told me that CARMART service is horrible. Most of peoples are reluctant to go for peugeot and mazdas because of CARMART.
  25. yes you are right , it's not only DUNLOP you gat the same problem with MICHELIN as well. As far as side walls are thin you get the maximum comfart but you have to be very careful when you are parking not to collide wth sharp edges. My previous DUNLOP japanese tyre set did 45000 km where my original BRIGESTONE did 60000 km. When you compare with the prices still it is worth to have DUNLOP rather than BRID. Also please keep in your mind that side wall problem is there in Brigestone also.
