Hi all, Yesterday I had emission test for my wife's car (Toyota Vitz)in Cleanco Lanka- kiribathgoda center. It cost me Rs 759.00 and Cleanco guy's were nice and helpful following were the results, HC PPM VOL High idle - -6 Low idel -9 (limiit 1200) Passed (they said (-) figures are equal to zero) CO% VOL High idle - 0 Low idel - 0 (limiit 4.500) Passed CO2% VOL High idle - 16.2 Low idle - 16.2 O2% VOL High idle - 0.050 Low idle - 0.030 Lanmbda High idle - 1.002 Low idle - 1.001 But when i went for my Registration, the lady in reveunce licese issuing, said that testing is not compulsory yet !!!!. they havent got any Circulation to check or collect emmission test documents.

hi, if you planning to run edonkey, torent or any p2p applications you should use ADSL. dialog wimax has restriction, that if you are high p2p user, they will limit your bandwidth internally. i think that might effect to other applications as well thereafter. According to legislation it is illegal but many practice it. You would be in trouble if your car met with serious accident or stolen, in both cases owner (owner of last registration) must be present. I can recall once my aunty sold her car open papers, and car was stolen from that owner, when the police found car, she had to go release car from court.

Hi, cant directly say which security system is better, I used to have some unbranded 2way FM security system that is very good (it was 15K), (they claim that it works over 2km, but practically it worked around 200m), it has good signal through walls etc. and give alert back to me when their is alarm, but downside is it eats battery lot, so had to change battery every month. I used Steel mate display type security system too, It is very nice in term of cosmetic view but bit bulky. my recommendation is go through feature of available security systems and decide what features you required, To sell GSM type security systems requires defense ministry approval (even though some sell those without approval). down side of GSM system is monthly rental and value added features limited to GSM coverage.

Since you have to drive 40-50Km per day, I think you better to go for Toyota Diesel car (Toyota Carina Diesel CT 210 will around 1.8M)

K***park sell these around 25K. in our car the inidicater was only lit when a tire had very low tire pressure (might not working correctly ).
