  1. Believe me, I had a brain freeze trying to pick one. It was finally clear though; those Coupe lines are the sexiest!
  2. Whose team are you on? I'm on Team Hachi!
  3. Judging by the front kit, I doubt this car can be restored to it's original glory. Shame!
  4. You bet! Which one would you pick, if given the choice? I pick the 510 coupe!
  5. That guy seems to like the new X trail! LOL
  6. As I said, my choice was purely cosmetic. I am fond of cars with amber lenses (which is a thing of the past, sadly) and the pre facelift has them. Cosmetics aside, you should go for one that has been maintained well. A nice car won't look quite so nice when it's spending time at a mechanic's!
  7. LCD clocks (and watches) have a polarising film on top of the actual panel that displays the numbers. If you invert the polarising film, you get inverted letters. Quite nice although it's difficult to read at a glance. Also search eBay for DIY polarising films. I'm sure you'll find something you like!
  8. I'm in the minority here and my decision is purely cosmetic, but I would go for a pre facelift.
  9. Nice work.
  10. Aha!
  11. No problem! Just wish I could find parts for the KSev this easily! Well, it better be white!
  12. So there's this FRIKKIN'-gorgeous Porsche 356A advertised for 12Mil today. Is it genuine? Where was it all this time and how many 356s do we have here?

Yup Genuine, It's actually a Pre-A, which is rare (and expensive) even internationally.. Car is occasionally seen around colombo on the weekends, owner uses it very sparingly..

AFAIK It's the only 356 in SL

It has great history in SL too... All this stuff is on the classic car search and Vintage and Classic cars FB pages machan, you REALLY need to join FB if only for the car stuff!

  13. yea, plastics do float.
  14. I hope your insurance is upto date...
  15. To quote Watchman "you know us third class goday buggers no, men?!"
  16. don't forget the bodykits!
  17. That's not what I use. Mine is in a stubby yellow bottle for use on vinyl and leather only. It says it can be used as a tyre shine as well (!) Made by Multichemi industries, Sri Lanka.
  18. You mean the liquid advertised to 'clean and protect vinyl and leather'? I've used it on my car dashboard without any problem. It dries to a semi gloss shine.
  19. See what I mean about white cars?!
  20. It does! Chee chee, KFC!
  21. A question I've been dying to know the answer to!
  22. This is shaping up brilliantly! As for white cars, gloss white brings out the lines of the body and is my favourite colour as well. Couple it with white wheels and BAM! Note it HAS to be gloss white and not the metallic, speckled ''Állion'' colour! We're all eager to read about updates too!
  23. Yea, I'd forgive it being a FF too! (I also heard it's a 6 speed manual...)
  24. Quick question: Toyota 2C (non turbo) engine- to overhaul or replace with another 2C engine?

dont stick to one dealer. engines can be found in various conditions and various prices. some even asked 220K from me for the CD20 engine.

I'll be opening a thread on this soon. My engine has a distinctive 'thud thud' sound during a cold start.

Yes Julia please open a thread. This will be a good topic. And better check around Kurunegala as I've found those things are sometimes cheaper there.
