RockerD
Hi All I m hoping to buy a Honda CR-Z Hybrid. The current market price seems to be between 3.6M onwards, I would like to have a opinion from any current CR-Z users, Simply put How's the ride ? Was it a worthy sports Hybrid ? H.C
Im not a CRZ user but saw the Fifth gear road test and reveiw sometime back and according to it, its not that sporty . May be it will be there at you tube and you can have some idea from it.
The Don
I don't think the CRZ is sporty enough to be called a true sports car. Sadly the old CRX was a fantastic car but Honda has failed to match that in what many saw to be a replacement for the old CRX
Devinda_Z
The upshot is that it's the only manual hybrid & one of a handful of cars that come new/recon to the country in manual guise.... i'm rather keen to actually drive a manual CR-Z
RockerD
hmm, Thanks for the insight!!, True it will never (nothing really does) match CR-X in performance and handling. The upshot is that it's the only manual hybrid & one of a handful of cars that come new/recon to the country in manual guise....i'm rather keen to actually drive a manual CR-Z Yeap paddle shift is indeed handy at times. Komisiripala
No not paddle shift. Proper five forward manual with a clutch. Hence the only manual hybrid in the world. I do NOT know how they managed that!
iRage
No not paddle shift. Proper five forward manual with a clutch. Hence the only manual hybrid in the world. I do NOT know how they managed that! The Fit RS Hybrid comes with a 6M/T (now I am curious and need to surf around a bit...just wondering if the CR-Z and the 1.5L Hybrid FIT RS come with the same engine+IMA+transmmision...hunch would be yes ?). But yes...AFAIK Honda is the only manufacturer who pulls off the whole Hybrid manual act.

JadeyBlitzen
Honda can pull it off cos the dc motor sits on the engine side right before the gearbox. Not in the gearbox like in the prius. so in perspective the engine and the motor don't give two hoots about what kind of a gearbox is behind them unlike in other hybrid systems where there's a lot of dependency. any idea if there any of those around & if so what they sell at?? Automatics are definitely more common but I wouldn't call manuals rare. Should be around the same price or more cos anyone who owns a manual these days or wants to buy one find them very desirable. iRage
any idea if there any of those around & if so what they sell at?? Sorry no idea....drove one over here after driving a 1.3L CVT and well lets say it tempted me... Honda Japan sells the auto and the manual brand new ones at the same price, however their certified used cars the M/T is slightly higher in price than the auto..
