did anyone sorted out driving license issue?

With the modern printing techniques, i can't understand why they still cannot print a plastic card that last even 2 years. . My university id card is 4 year old and still looks good , and it cost only Rs.100. Even the problem is with the motor traffic department, now we have to suffer ( taking photographs, waste a day and go to werahera office ) W*F ..! Land no like other

Hi guys, I got a new driving license in this march because of a spelling mistake in my old license. After few months, i noticed that it is fading and now it's not possible to read anything there. I heard that motor traffic commission will replace recently issued license. But dono whether i have to pay Rs550 again or they will do it for free. Did anyone faced to such issue?

Hi all, This Saturday I'll going to service my Alto and I have 1.3 liter of engine oil remained in oil can that bought for the last service. ( 4 liter can- 2.7 liter for engine = 1.3 ) and oil is 7 months old, but never opened the oil can. Is it ok to put that oil with new oil? or Do i have to throw it away?

The Indian Alto - A Personal Take
Miyuru Daminda replied to Supra_Natural's topic in Feedback & Suggestions
I think u got it wrong bro, Stock tyres are 145/80R12 and AFIK proper upsize is 155/65R13 that only cause +0.954% difference in speedo. -

Will there a noticeable drop on ride comfort if I change from 145/80R12 stock tube tyres to 155/65R13 tubeless with good brand? -
Rubber Beadings/bushings/ Belts And Pullys
Miyuru Daminda replied to ruwansusantha's question in General
Dono about any special products, but never spray oil to engine bay to car body when servicing. Oil will ruin rubber. Even some reputed service stations doing this. So tell them explicitly that DON'T SPRAY OIL. -
The Indian Alto - A Personal Take
Miyuru Daminda replied to Supra_Natural's topic in Feedback & Suggestions
As a 2 years user of a Alto, I'm totally agree with both reviews. These were very informative rather than telling it is sh*t or box with wheels. If you are going to drive a Alto in a city area, first thing you have to do is change rear view mirrors with adjustable mirrors for 13k or replace glass with convex mirror that will cost abt 1k - 2k depending on the quality of the mirror. Believe me, you can't drive it with stock mirrors. Center rear view mirror don't have night mode that reduce glare so it is hard to drive in night when rear vehicle using hi-beam. Same for stock side rear view mirrors. I'm thinking about installing a good center rear view mirror from a swift. Only way to open the boot is by using the keys ( no cable release ). So you have to stop car always to open boot. I did installed cable release mechanism found on alto vxi model by ordering parts from india through A*W. If anyone need to know the parts numbers, PM me. There is a considerable power drop with A/C on but after driving with full time A/C on for some time I will not much noticeable, may be because ECU learned proper values. If you need quick overtake, best thing to do is shift down to 3rd or 4th rather than pushing pedal to the floor in 5th gear that will give no-acceleration. Bodyroll is a considerable when turning in high speed because of high stance/ground clearance and higher profile stock tyres. I'm planning to go for 13inch alloys with low profile tyres. Considering fuel efficiency, for last 7000km, average was 15.5kmpl where 100% A/C on, 50/50 city and out station driving, 3-4 people onboard and my driving mode is not much economical. Some times I drive it like an ALTOSPEED Engine power is ok but not enough for fun drive and you cannot burnout on tar roads - only on "boralu" roads BTW it was able to climb upto horton plains with 4 adults onboard + fullly loaded boot and I was able to win horton plains hill climbing race with toyota dolphin . Engine noise inside cabin is bit higher and it starts to scream when cross 100kmph. Brakes are ok but if you bang on the brakes at 80kmph, wheels will lock because of no ABS. Rear seats doesn't provides any support for 5'8 adult but I'm not care it because, I'm always the driver. No idea about the reliability and never faced to any problem for last 2 years. AFIK angine lifetime is around 150k -
If this is true, indian alto is far more better that this. It can cross 60kmph in 2nd gear with redlining and 100kmph in 20sec in 4th gear. Top speed that i was recorded was 140, but need looong stretch to do it and car just simply fly because of 600kg weight.

My Fuel Station Pump Was Cooked Big Time
Miyuru Daminda replied to DVT's topic in General Automotive
There was a news on paper telling that recently imported fuel pumps imported by cypetco dispense less fuel than shows in the reading. These pumps were imported from China by a son of a minister. Brand name of the pumps is something like " Sanki". Most of new cypetco stations have these pumps. Be aware...! -
Yes
-
I replaced rear view mirrors of my alto with adjustable mirrors ( comes with Alto vxi). Car looks better with these mirrors and they are really convex mirrors, but costs 13k
-
how about amaron batteries, AFIK they are better than exide BTW if you interested about longer life time, go for a non sealed ( normal type) battery. Because if u maintain it properly, it will last longer than a maintenance free battery.
-
No it's a jap alto, because india does not produce 2 door alto. BTW this alto must have a bigger engine, otherwise it will take 20sec to cross 100kmph
-
So how about ur report abt alto
-
mate, u don't understand the thing, I'm not telling marutis are bad. and also I'm own a maruti Alto and I'm really happy with it. what i'm telling is they are doing cheap marketing and don't get caught to it. New models like Swift have better safety and other features. What i'm says is " have an open mind" and think. Still indian automobiles are far more behind than jap.
-
even it doesn't mentions that it has 4 wheels, lol if you have 1 PhD, do u need to mention about that u have passed O/L ? same rule applies
-
most peoples thinks only marutis have side impact bars and crumple zones because, jap cars does not really advertise these features simply because they have many more features to say about than these default features. jap are talks about Air bags, ABS, EBD, traction control, ESP ........bla bla
-
dono about spoiler, for security systems, S*n lanka is good. will cost abt 10k-11k for security system with impact sensors.
