The current generation MX-5/Miata/Eunos Roadster have a convertible metal roof, so no issues there. For the S2000, you'll have to find a hardtop in Japan. I only mentioned the hardtop because it adds to the look of the car.

Honda S2000, best of both worlds. Don't forget the hardtop either. Otherwise I would say the CR-Z because even though it is less powerful on paper, nearly half the torque will be available to you at 0rpm with IMA on Sport mode, allowing you to dart in and out of traffic easily. Plus don't forget the fuel savings.

I don't think it's illegal. After all, if someone gets their instrument cluster changed, they would have to get the odo adjusted to read the correct value. There's a thread here on this very topic. -

I prefer my petrol vehicle because it's oh so effing quiet when compared to my old van. I can listen to orchestral music and hear individual strings being plucked on a cello. On the downside, now I have to take greater care with my flatulence since people can actually hear them as well as smell them.

Was followed by a black B4 tonight, the driver waited till we turned onto the parliament to overtake me and open her up. Even then he wasn't being excessive, good to see people driving responsibly even when traffic is low.
