  1. It's the 2015 JDM Alto. Came across it a while back when searching for a 2nd car.

    H4 Hid Or Led

Neither. Heed Stig's words above. If you're going to do it, do a proper retrofit with HID capable projectors, or buy a set of halogens like Osram Nightbreakers (What I've been using since 2011). I'm known for usually driving head on towards idiots with HIDs because the glare blinds me.
  3. Well the calculations will depend on how much the cost per unit is. At industrial rates, without any overhead, it's very very cheap.
  4. Traffic cops are heroes, srsly. They put their lives in danger on a daily basis with morons (the reason why cops are even needed in the first place at junctions with traffic lights) whizzing past them from all sides. There was a video of a cop at the Kinsey road turn off being knocked down by a woman in a Maruti. I would've just quit on the spot.
  5. The galaxy s6 is all metal and glass, there's no paint to peel off. And touchwiz has been improved greatly, but in any case one can always use a 3rd part launcher instead; i use Nova launcher myself.
  6. Mine does more that in normal traffic with a/c set to 23.5 and eco mode off.
  7. There is.
  8. You are probably hitting the rev limiter. My Axio Hybrid has a max RPM of 6000 and no redline, so I'm assuming it must be similar to yours. As far as the traction battery is concerned you'll have to get it looked at by either Stafford or some other place.
  9. Sometimes I wonder how those in the Geely Panda FB group live their lives, considering the kind of asinine questions some of them ask.

  10. I was srsly considering LG, but the GS6 hit the shelves sooner, plus the LGs have always had that "poddak madi" factor, when considering Samsung, HTC and OnePlus.
  11. Those LED units look extremely dodgy. If you absolutely need to go for them, get the ones with CREE drivers. Their colour temps start only from 5000K, with 6000K being the norm, and the while they look cool, they have absolutely crappy light output. Temps between 4000K-5000K are what you should be looking at. I fitted my old van with 35W 4300K xenons, and it was difficult to tell them apart from Osram Nighbreaker Plus's, since they're almost 4000K.
  12. For all intents and purposes, it is still an auto.
  13. A few smart cars have trickled in to the country within the last decade. I've also seen the Soarer mentioned a few posts back, the twin turbo has the same engine as the black MK3 Supra which made the rounds here (or facebook?) a while ago. Restoring all the electronics in that car will be a proper headache.
  14. The phones are identical in every way apart from obvious physical differences of the screen and Edge specific software.
  15. Good grief, typical SL High Horse reaction. What Peri meant was this bit I have circled for you below.
  16. I've got a regular Galaxy S6. I chose it over the edge because my fingers are too large to hold it comfortably without touching the edge of the screen. Mine lasts for at least 16 hours with mixed data and wifi, and permanent bluetooth connection with my pebble watch. Battery life isn't an issue because with the fast charger you can top up an extra 30% in like 15 minutes. I carry around a 5000mah Xiaomi power bank just in case, which charges the phone almost as quickly as the fast charger.
  17. As per Peri's signature, I've apparently got two kinds of chemical storage barrels under my rear seat. And there's a constant chemical reaction going on in the one that is literally under the rear seat (I dismantled the rear seat to take a gander at the HV battery and ventilation system).
  18. Yamaha did a thing. I for one quite like it. The Jalopnik article. http://jalopnik.com/yamaha-sports-ride-concept-a-baby-supercar-with-tech-f-1739159407
  19. Tempted to buy one of the many older cars available for under a million :/

Second car. I'm actually likimg the Axio more and more with each passing day.

  20. Or buy a map.
  21. Don't skimp on tools. Shipping on a decent tool kit will be quite prohibitive as they easily weigh over 2 kilos. Go for a brand name like Stanley or Craftsman. They will last decades with proper use and care.
  22. So I was all set to buy seat covers this morning, and then it dawned on me the front seats have airbags in them. Spoke to two people about this (one of them has a car identical to mine, the other is a GP5), neither were even aware their cars' seats have airbags in them. When posed with the question of airbag deployment, the nonchalant responses both gave me were unsettling (in my perspective), i.e. the chances of being T-boned are extremely slim etc. I for one believe not many of us have accumulated the necessary amount of "පින්" points to claim this with any kind of certainty. I'm trying to make do with a set of strap on covers, but the beige seats us Sri Lankans love so much are bloody stain magnets. What is your take on this?
  23. Looks better than the old Reva/G-Wiz.
  24. I've got all the Monstercat podcasts on SD now. https://soundcloud.com/monstercat
