Well their excuse was the embargo on Iran. But as of today that will be lifted for SL, India and a select few countries if they can prove they're importing less than some specified amount.

Indeed, a manual Jag X is little more than a Ford Mondeo, and those it seems are pretty fkn reliable.

That's not an Axio, thats a Chevy Aveo, so the pic is most probably Indian.

Alonso's crew made a bad choice on the tire scene. Even Vettel realized this and went in for a tire change on the 63rd lap. Had he done this earlier, he would've for sure placed on the podium. The fact that Grossjean got 2nd place with just one pit-stop was a pure fluke because he wasnt pushing his tires anywhere near as hard as Vettel and Alonso were. Kudos to Hamilton for driving the cleanest race ever this season and biding his time. I just wish McLaren would polish up their pit procedures, they very nearly futzed it up this time as well, he lost a clear second in that second pitstop. I believe the reason for the tire strategy miscalculation was the track temperature, and the red tires wore out much sooner than anticipated because the weather was much hotter than qualifying day.

New ones do.

Blood spatter would be a problem, _if_ it the dismembering was done antemortem, but once circulation stops things become much easier. Besides it would just be too inhumane to chop someone up while they're alive. Just place the corpse on some split garbage bags, dismember, and then wrap the parts up in the said same bags. Kinda like the thing places like Pilla do during lunch time by placing a lunch paper over the plate to having to wash them.

Auto Gear Issue - Fb 15
terrabytetango replied to Dhanushka Gunasinghe's topic in General Automotive
How clueless would one have to be to update the wrong thread? And they let people like him drive on public roads *mental facepalm* -
Actually no, the blue tint will actually make the yellow light from your stock bulbs whiter. This principle is used in the Honda Insight and Nissan X-Trail, and I'm sure other vehicles as well but these are what I have noticed. Take a close look at their headlight cluster the next time you see either one. Edit: Excessive usage of the word 'actually'.

I'm actually going to downgrade to a Samsung Y Duos. Reason being that that particular phone supports 3G for both SIMs and has basic social networking stuff and mail support including activesync. The Transformer is used for everything else, including angrybirds, and the look and feel is better than ever with the ICS update.

Market Price Of A Toyota Vios [2003]
terrabytetango replied to Buddhikaiw's topic in General Automotive
Read a newspaper or browse the A/L classifieds. And creating two threads won't help either. -
Abbas, what exactly was the reaction you were expecting from us? Also, it's best to dismember a body and wrap up the pieces in a few layers of polythene. Makes it much easier to transport and dispose of.

How Frequently Do Have To Check The Wheel Alignment ?
terrabytetango replied to ColomboRox's topic in General Automotive
Rotating tires is to ensure generally even wear on all tires. We have discussed the topic at length here http://forum.autolanka.com/index.php?/topic/12873-tire-rotation-with-different-branded-tyres/page__hl__%2Btire+%2Brotation__fromsearch__1 -
A friend had this issue on an '89 Pajero, which was also used for off roading quite a bit. They had to swap out the engine in the end. He said it had sand and crud in the sump, which probably explains how engine oil gets mixed in.

Best Hatchback Around 1.8M Except Maruti
terrabytetango replied to amilaart's question in Car Buying Information
Proton Gen2. Has the biggest engine of the lot, and according to pericles its got quite a bit of grunt. Also it falls well within your price range. -
Thanks Don, that makes sense. The engine is the ubiquitous 1NZ-FE, and I haven't seen a distributor anywhere, so I'm guessing ignition is fully electronic. I'll try the spark plug test this weekend if the problem persists.

Don't worry about it, srsly. Do you think the owners of pink Vitzs thought anything about resale value before they bought their cars?

Ok since this is an idling related thread, my car did something weird today, so I'll start with everything I did which led up to that moment. Saturday - Went shopping, plenty of stops and starts - Engine properly warmed up Sunday - Went out for lunch, engine switched off only while at restaurant, only drive of the day, to and from restaurant (rajagiriya, 0 traffic) - Engine properly warmed up Monday - Started car once just less than a minute to pull out of garage to wash car, and then put back in, again started up for less than 10 seconds. Both times no use of accelerator, idle torque at startup is enough for the car to manage small gradients. Tuesday - Idle the whole day, took a personal day from work. Today - Car started up like a cold diesel, rough idling and it appeared to be running on 3 cylinders initially. However it did settle down inside of a minute, and I let the entire warm up procedure complete before pulling out. So, the question I put forth is, what could have caused the rough idling? It was the first time ever this car has done it.

It's a Nissan, but a Dualis, also known as the Qashqai. We have them here.

Not really. The glass does have a few scratches from falling on its face a few times, but nothing major.

This is for JDNet who's been having issues with his HTC mobile phone. This is my one year old HTC Desire S. Amongst it's many adventures, it was once in an incident which involved an angle grinder and an orbital sander. Edit: and the digitizer still works and the gorilla glass is relatively scratch free.
