  1. is it possible to change oil using the machine and at the same time clean the fliter?
  2. whats wrong with a mitsubishi galant?
  3. you are lucky if you find a 1.5 RS for that kinda money, if you find one at all. however getting rid of them could be a problem. if i were you i'd go with a non-RS 1.3 manual cos its a good compromise. a 1.0 auto is just too slow and girly
  4. the show was generally sh*t. the only cars that livened things up a bit were the type rr, the cobra, the escort, the wwII jeep and that tarted up 260z and a couple of minis and beetles. everything else was just too ordinary. i want my 50 rupees back
  5. Hi the a/c compressor on my vitz failed a couple of days ago. i was told its wearing out gradually and it needs to be replaced soon. it was working fine for the last 2 months and then all of a sudden last wednesday it grew very noisy, started zapping up a lot of power and the air wasn't as cool. so i rang up my a/c repair guy and he said its a problem common to all 1nz engined cars. apparently it can be replaced with a compressor from a 4e engine with very little modifications to the compressor itself. however i opted for the more expensive original compressor to maintain the originality of the car. and the mechanic warned me against it as these compressors tend to wear out fast and the price is high because of the higher demand for this part. has any of you toyota owners out there experienced this problem? should i go for an original compressor and face the risk of replacing it again? (mind you, the last compressor lasted for more than 4 years). or is this 4e compressor conversion as harmless as it sounds? Many thanks
  6. ever wondered what your bum hole would look in proportion to the rest of your body when you are in prison?
  7. i'm guessing the owner is a jap eccentric. i read somewhere that this car is mostly bought by self made entrepreneurs in japan. he probably had more money to blow on a more expensive motor. but being all patriotic and eccentric he probably bought this.
  8. thats a toyota century. look it up on wiki
  9. well its better for your engine as it ages. but personally i would look up the oils recommended by the manufacturer for a particular engine and go with the one that has the lowest viscosity.
  10. 5w to 10w eh? you might lose a few horses there buddy
  11. i've seen this too. good movie
  12. yes! quite a lot ...for a motorised pencil sharpener no more than 63 bhp in real money mate.
  13. I've been using a K&N panel filter for 3 years now. so far everythings been ok. i would only recommend them on n/a engines though. as for apexi panel filters afaik they don't exist.
  14. i think the agents may have a point cos K&N filters are oiled and this oil might get "sprayed" into the intake pipes which might cause the maf sensor to clog up. it could be a lot worse on cars with forced induction as the air is sucked through the filter with a bigger force. also gihan is right about the dust. as these filters may not have the same filtering properties as a stock filter. personally i'd go with an apexi cone. cos its not oiled and it has excellent filtering properties. but there may be some complications when it comes to installing it.
  15. with time something will definitely go. with an expensive kit it'll probably be the engine
  16. i think the cost of a full conversion should be starting around 75k (got some serious doubts about the mapping at this price range) and from there on sky's the limit. i guess a pretty solid conversion can be done for around 150k if most of the stuff is done locally
  17. i'm not gonna state the obvious but then again i haven't lived much
  18. i thought we WERE talking about bmws
