  2. Phone pictures so they are not great but you get the idea. 215/35/18 165/60/15
  3. Congrats pops. Go karts are fairly cheap these days
  4. 14" have been addressed. You can also go with 15 or 18s. 185/60/15 215/35/18 will all fit that car. Main concern should be the aspect ratio which you need to keep to as close to factory specs as possible so your spedo and gas mileage will not be off. Use the link below to calculate your aspect ratios. http://www.net-comber.com/tirecalc.html I have some pictures of two cars with 15" and 18" which I'll post later.
  5. Outch... Nice Someone need to poke his eye and see if he twitches
  6. No confirmation yet so no one knows. That said, it in in LTTE's interest to keep the death of the 'dear leader' a secret for as long as they can. It's counterproductive to acknowledge his death. The death of V.P. is but one man. The LTTE is comprised of a lot of people who can be at their most dangerous state for the next few months. I hope the government won't let this be a false security and become complacent. I think we need to be at our highest alert level right now.
  7. More pictures from the past. Frist time seing some of these. Haven't heard any unrest in Los Angeles yet though. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/gallery/20...cture=347512303
  8. It's only 7AM but I do have couple of sprit bottles out http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/may/1...igers-surrender http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/8054169.stm http://www.tamilnet.com/art.html?catid=13&artid=29389 http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/18/world/as...rss&emc=rss
  9. John, EGRs are also used in US cars and they are for emissions reason only. It should not affect your water temperature. I ran with the EGR blocked off on my Supra for years. Never had a cooling issue related to the EGR blocking. I think your cooling issue is elsewhere in the cooling system. Could be the blocked radiator or pipes and/or the thermostat.
  10. I hope he's not being too preemptive in announcing the victory. Me think the fighting's going to go on for a little while.
  11. Obama just had a press conference in which he mentioned SL conflict and refer to some of the new articles on the subject. He wasn't really blaming out government but did make the standard talking point of the plight of the civilians. I'm with some of you who said that these so called "shelling" could be the work of someone locally to make it look as though we are shelling them. At least from the article below it is eluded to that. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090513/ap_on_...lanka_civil_war
  12. We need to appoint someone in the government that can put two words together without sounding like a fool. Every conflict in the world will have negative impacts and how those are reported has lot to do with how they are communicated. Propaganda war is very effective if done properly. For the time being, at least with the latest round of reports, SL forces are made to be villains. Either we need to end this and end it quick or if they plan on dragging this along the way it has in the recent past, we need someone to counteract some of these reports whether they are true or not. At the very least do some damage control if the situation warrants it. This story made the main page on CNN which is rare given the US attitude toward foreign countries. You know, we [the US] are the center of the universe thing. US still have some influence in SL directly or indirectly and I don't want the government to give in to these foreign pressures and back out of what seems to be a certain victory. Regardless, whether the peace will last in SL or not, we need to address each of these issues on there own. First step being to get rid of the LTTE and make the area safe so people can go in and out without being shot at. The area involved is such a small piece of land, we aught to be able to document, by way of aerial pictures, the condition it’s in and use said pictures to counteract any propaganda that is being crated, if any, by the LTTE.
  13. As of right now it's Yes ahead by 52 to 48%
  14. I'm starting to see a lot of news reports here about the fighting in SL. Some of the latest reports are not too favorable to the SL government forces. What's really going on guys? We are very close to getting rid of these parasites but this type of articles are not helping. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/8044777.stm http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/may/1...civilian-deaths http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/8043169.stm http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/12/world/as...rss&emc=rss

Looks like the LK Rs. is picking up a bit. When I was there early last month I was getting Rs. 114.xx for a $. It has picked up significantly in a short span. http://www.reuters.com/article/rbssConstru...L46517120090507
  17. Cool man... This was the scene in Santa Monica on Friday. http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/03/and-the...s-on-first-leg/
  18. Dexron II is compatible with III. So you're okay. I misunderstood your original question. Different brand make no diff. Different types do.
  19. You should try to find exactly which kind it was. Different types have different friction points and they are not compatible with one another, unless it's specified. If you're not sure, I'd recommend a complete fluid change given possibility that you can mess up your transmission.
  20. Happy Birth day
  21. I've seen it before. Great clip! Was it part of a movie?
  22. Oh goodie!!! There's going to be a second part, you know the sequal, part II etc Can't wait.
  23. First link is not loading for me. For you muscle car fans and possibly one of the best chase scenes done in real life conditions, you can't forget the Bullitt with Steve McQueen.

Thanks Mean and everyone else. I'm reading all of this with great interest. Lot of good information and my compliments to the topic start.... ehhh... wait, never mind
  25. Better than average that your transmission is okay. If it operates like it was pre-accident, I wouldn't worry about it.
