First off, congrats! If you are willing to provide me an invite, I'll show up and get you few photos, as its an area I want to get some practice in. Note, I'd just be an unofficial guest photographer, and I'm definitely no substitute for official photographer(s) and second shooter(s) you will need. I would also definitely recommend pericles (if he is available) - I do not know the photographer he works with but I'm sure that guy is good. As far as wedding photographers go I'm not too sure what to think of them as I'm not familiar with this area but I have seen some creative work done by a guy called Upul Rodrigo (search for him on flickr). Ultimitaly, what do you and your SO want? do you want regular photos? if so just about any decent experienced photographer would do - do you want something more creative? in which case you should find someone who takes creative photos in a style you admire. I mentioned Upul as I think his work is not the usual run of the mill stuff (at least what I've seen) The best I'd recommend is you study the portfolio's of these people. And also invest well in second shooters. You might get some surprising stuff from them

A while back I made a huge mistake of selling a car with open papers. I had no idea what the term meant, buyer just asked me to fill the form and give. My problem is they are still using the vehicle in my name, and sold it to someone else. I contacted the new party and asked them to transfer, they don't seem to want to. Some ideas: - Contact local insurance companies and inform them that insurance got in my name for this car is fraudulent as they are forging my signature. - Put a statement in local police station that said vehicle was sold by me on such date and since then I am not responsible for it. I also wrote to the RMV but never heard back from them. Can you guys advice me what I should do now? are above steps correct? anything else I should do? Sometimes a different brand of tire can change the ride comfort - you may consider upgrading. Also, tire pressure makes a difference - try reducing the pressure a little bit (note, this may affect fuel economy/tire wear).

I notice that most of the Indian networks (e.g. Dish TV India) etc., are advertising HDTV packages - my question is - are any of these available in Sri Lanka? I notice we have a few places selling Dish TV for example - do any of them offer HD decoders/packages? Also, any idea when local DTH providers will go HD?

It depends on the PC - laptops tend to be optimized for the OS they are released with - particularly when the laptop uses a custom power management software to enable special modes (beyond hardware stuff) - so a machine that was released for windows Vista and had manufacturer software for power management might do better on vista than on 7 or XP (unless the manufacturer releases updates)..

I'm always open to upgrading - that said, I'd like to pose a few questions to you guys - For buying a new car - would it be better to get new/unreg or a used one, when the prices drop (if they do). - What are your best predictions as to what will happen over the next few months (new/recon/used market). - Do you guys think this is a temp/permanent reduction?

I think OP mixed that and meant to say front tints are not permitted, but a back tint of 20% is OK (though he mentions that the cop was fine with a very dark tint in his car)

To clarify - the rear tints were OK, the cop had a problem with the front tints only, and you removed them?

Take it back to ATCO - they are good people - the last time I had a prob they fixed my AC for free. They are trust-able - you can drop off the vehicle early morning, and pick it up in the evening. Actually they are one of the few companies in this country that I still recommend...

Since this thread has been reactivated, I'd like to point out that I subsequently discovered that the video wasn't entirely accurate - (I can't remember how but I think it was some weird simulation with a truck full of concrete or something). That said, many Chinese vehicles, such as the Chery QQ have dismal safety records: I wonder how many ladies (and gents) who buy that here have any idea how unsafe it is.

Hope this means there will be a good drop in camera/lens pricing...
