I have driven Honda Insight 2010 for last couple of days from home to work and work to Home Rajagiriya - Fort, I only managed to get 13Km/L when econ button is on, but I noticed I can get more when econ button is off. Any ideas? I have very recently bought this with genuine mileage of 29000 and I didn't do any oil changes or filter changes yet. Will the fuel efficiency inrease after the service? My brother also has a prius 2nd generation and it managing to get more than 18Km/L.

JAAI is more recongnized and thorough testing of all the parts. They are strict on accident vehicles, radiation and the conditions. There are some vehicles get JAAI rejected. Then most of them try to go with BV certificate. I know lot of sales having this certificate. they don't check thoroughly as JAAI people do. Once of my friend said BV only take 10 min to check one vechile but JAAI it take 1hr.

Still there are Insights for 38 Lakhs. Go for L or LX grade. It will cost more 2-3 lakhs but worth. Go for personal imports as you can see all the auction sheets and original JAAI. Most of the sales don't show you the original JAAI and auction sheets. They show you only photo copies.

Hybrid prices has increased slightly, not like VItz. Better go for Hybrid if the price difference is less than 2-3 lakhs.

GS sealed one was good, I used 3years without any maintenance.

Pala is very expensive also most of their senior guys has left the place. don't go there. I was charged very high amounts for my work for last couple of months. Ultimately I found out that even if I give the job to Toyota Lanka, they are cheaper than Pala. e.g. Toyota KDH200 air filter at Pala is : Rs. 4300. ( I checked it with GS Auto and they have the same filter for Rs. 3000)

Pala is very expensive, they charge even more than the agents. Try Chandrika motors at Rajagiriya in the road in front of Election department.

No, I purchased the correct one, It's Diesel Injector (fuel system)cleaner which needs to be poured to the fuel tank, It's a black color bottle. Bought from Lauf Koswatta.

I used 3M fuel additive (injector cleaner - fuel system cleaner) for Rs.1600 from Laugf after putting full tank of diesel. After couple of kilometers engine CHECK LIGHT came and it never disappeared. The engine noise increased and I showed this to couple of mechanics and they advise not to use any of these as they all are scams. The diagnostics code came P1220 that is something to do with injector pump malfunction which is very costly repair. I ran the vehicle as it is without any repairs and after second full tank fill, the CHECK light vanishes and never came after that. I diagnosis the engine using the computer again and fault is not there. DON'T USE ANY OF THE FUEL ADDITIVES OR FUEL CLEANERS OR INJECTOR CLEANSERS. THESE BOGUS PRODUCTS WILL RUIN YOUR VEHICLE. USE PROPER WAY OF FUEL SYSTEM AND INJECTOR CLEANING . SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GIVE REPAIRS TO EXPERIENCE MECHANICS.

Hi, I had FB15 Auto 2000 1500CC car. It's a very good. has nice interior, good looking, comfortable driving, very low maintanance. But very bad in fuel consumption. It did 8Km/L in Colombo and 9Km/L outstation. I had done everything through agents to make it more fuel efficient. but didn't work out. Second had value is better in 1500 CC cars rather than 1300CC cars. and I sold it with very easy, just first buyer bought it for the price I was expected. 15.5 Lakhs. 1300CC cars are hard to resel and for hill roads card to climb. Hi, I had the same problem with my vehicle and I took my vehicle to Pala Auto. They figured out that it's coming from loosy Air Cleaner. Then it's removed at refitted.Then it reduced a bit but didn't fade away all. Then they figured out some metal part in remote sensor box is touching with vibrating parts in vehicle and the vibration coming from it. Then it was removed and refitted and vibration fade away fully. Darshana
