    Nissan Leaf

The UK version is heavier, thus you have the bigger motor and the 6.6kW charger, my range depends on my driving entirely mate, on a lazy day heavy to moderate traffic I top off around 150km, whereas on the same conditions if I tend to push it a bit I land 130km, long distance, relaxed driving style with passengers cargo and AC it can do 180km, it will top 200 easy on the highway on cruise control, as usage is minimal.
  6. If its a small job, go to the radiator repair spot in front of Elcardo, ie, William Goppallawa Mawatha, If you could describe abit clearly or put up a pic, we could suggest further,
  7. I too can vouch for their after sales service, They even go to the extend of rebuilding your furniture, to retail spec, for a very low sum incase you damaged them by an accident.

    Nissan Leaf

My dads awaiting a solar kit as well, the whole eco craze has taken over him, he pretty much mocks my hilux now saying the exhaust is too loud, I bring mud into the garage and the fumes dirty the outer paintwork in the house.

    Nissan Leaf

Can make it to kandy machan, I do it on a regular basis, 4 passengers and and aircon, in the night, and shoot up kadugannawa as well and have 30% charge spare when I reach the Peradeniya Army Memorial Round about. but 100% charged of course from Colombo, multiple stops Infact I've never charged the car in any premises than my own, It has never seen a fast charge either, I gotta take it to a fast charger one of these days to see if the system atleast works.
  10. Anyone know a place I can buy the 3m Quick wax spray?

Thank you fellas, Mydeal said it takes a week to supply, Aprico out of stock, didn't check laughs,

Bought one from Echo zone in Kirula Road, 1980/- tad bit higher but saved my day.

In comparison, Autoglym is miles ahead to 3M if used properly

    Nissan Leaf

If you intend to use the car on the highway, cruise control is a must as it governs the car more efficiently such that you don't end up with a flat battery by the end of the trip, also having automatic climate control makes it more efficient, both of the above gives us more range end of the day, whatever we say, the bottom line is range, thus I say go for the highest grade possible! and it is not wise to tamper with the wiring harness of an electric car, unless you can restore it to oem spec again, best leave it in oem kit.
  12. This is the best thing I saw whole day

    Nissan Leaf

if G is out go with X, I can't advertise on the forum mate for the car sale, pm me for more details The best way to do is to draw a line off the main board, before the trip switch, send the line through a separate 20A or 32A breaker / or new trip (expensive) to this you connect a 2.5mm 3 Core wire which you bring near the car, and lastly you need a Cooper 20A Nema plug to connect the EVSE to the wire. the description sounds complicated, take a look at the setup in a car sale, you'll get it
  14. price looks too good to be true

    Fuel Tank Leak

I'd suggest you replace the tank machan, given that its a common car you can source one easy, It might have been patched up previously too. Any mishap later on can make you lose the whole car,I suggest not to cut corners there. cheers
  16. I am so in love with that new Alto Turbo RS, though I'll never fit in one

Apparently Motobacs had one, sold now

    3. terrabytetango

      terrabytetango

I hope it was sold to someone who appreciates it for what it is, not like the CAI Honda S660 roaming around.

  17. No adjustment in my ones, but I guess the nozzles control the output as per purpose
  18. Made a hole through the ac condenser in the hilux, it just ripped through the thin fins, cracked the plastic taillights in my Land Rover, dislodged a wiring harness from its clips, blew a grommet in the leaf recently, bought a replacement off ebay Hold it at a distance of about a meter and you ll be fine
  19. Been using both, both are equally good, If I'd buy again I'd get a Karcher as there are agents and they do repairs as well. But be careful when using them as I messed up a few things on my vehicle.
  20. So Hilux and Lamp Post, :( If you guys know good painters for a tiny job (Ocd Level) in Kandy please drop a contact

      tiv

Yup, Just the front end though, the rear needs a lot of work viz Disc conversion,

there's about a 25% improvement, most noticed at high speeds, anyways I guess you need discs on all corners to get the full outcome.

      Feel free to ask anything.

    3. tiv

      tiv

Got to say, once the system was bled again with new fluid, there is a massive gain in braking power! It feels like my X-trail now with discs on all 4

    4. SanjeevMahen

      SanjeevMahen

I've always been thinking on how to improve my brakes and now you got me thinking :)))

Where did you get the Brembo stuff from? Locally sourced or imported?

Sorry for the silly question but tell me if this necessitates full replacement of the front brake system (disks, shoes and calipers)?

And any mods needed or is it just direct plug and play?

Also if you don't mind, the cost involved?

  22. A tad bit more comprehensive documentation would have been useful to everyone.
  23. Go for 4DR6, minimum mods, bolt on, and heap of power for its size, also end of the day the swap would be more authentic. As for AC compressor and power steering pump, it will depend on the engine you find. Current kit may also be a direct fit provided it can clear the other bits. I'd recommend to use all new parts, just for a cleaner outcome and reliability. And as with all turbo engines, checking the turbo is a must.
  24. Similar thing happened when I had just got my license and with the periodic ricer craze I had attached those Painted after market pedal things, The thing came off and the car being an auto the car slowly crawled onto a poorly maintained lancer box!
  25. Its pretty much default on all smart key Japs I've seen
