Feature might have been disabled by the built in menus, Similar scenario for Audis, but Vezels run a Jap interface is it?
-
Not just the fuel, lack of proper maintenance, Chaps here plan to run them like marutis, by the cent, mind you the hilux is not that cheap to run either,
-
I'd highly advice you against it machan, Multiple systems tend to pack up, starting from 4wd, DPF to the engines themselves, not as good on fuel as you assume, you'll have to stick to Super Diesel / 4star etc I'd rather go with an X-trail Maintenance; roughly Rs. 20,000-25000 using original oil and filters ( same as hilux) Bits are hideously expensive though Why it costs less; 1. It doesn't have a Toyota badge 2. Too many running repairs / electronic glitches 3. Poor fuel economy If we compare resale potential, your corolla holds far more value.

Can be done easily, for example The attached pic setup U need to fabricate these bits, a circular plate with calibrated holes, spoke based linkages to your locks, and a metal enclosure to mount all this in, you can use a generic toyota lock cylinder with key which is attached to the circular plate Its not as hard as it looks, DIY or a simple bush mechanic can make this, find a barrel off panchi You can even use a central lock actuator instead of the lock barrel / cylinder and motorize the thing along with the cabin locks, or wire it up as trunk release.
-
Definitely the lock can be replaced, pls show us how the setup looks from inside / underneath, that way I can suggest a locking barrel / cylinder to be used Definitely involves small bit of fabrication here n there, but can be done

Careful with these dust caps as they tend to oxidize and sorta weld into the thread, thereby u ll end up breaking the valve and no way to deflate the tyre, A chap had to make a hole in the tyre to deflate it, then remove the valve and patch it up.

I've used Marpa a few times due to the lack of premium waxes in my locality, Holds up for 1 month, 3-4 'proper' washes. I prefer paste wax of-course

And where in kandy? Can you pls pm me.. Thanks

Was considering this myself, but looks fake so I gave up, would appreciate any more input

I'd say avoid these ebay / chinese pumps as I have used several of these and the efficiency lasts for only 6 months to 1 year, maybe useful for a emergency etc I'd highly recommend the OEM Toyota Air Pump, small size (about 5x5 inches), pretty much lasts forever. It was standard kit on the Land Cruiser 100s 200s and Hilux , also some of the larger cars ( Camry etc ) can completely inflate a 31'x10.5 tyre, no digital gauge of course, needs manual adjustment Saw some advertised a while ago, but none now,

Well as per experience, Very hardy vehicle; both the older 80-90s model and the 2000s models, I'll elaborate on the 2000s (65-) models First and foremost take care with body permit vehicles and the cut bud / tampered vehicles with forged documents with possible Isuzu Gemini registrations etc, or else Cops are gonna have a ball in every checkpoint The 4JX1 is a bit troublesome and the 4JG2 engine is bullet proof, personally I prefer the 4JG2, try to get a manual, make sure the Aircon works thoroughly as bits are expensive and getting rarer, but don't expect common rail performance, on the upside it can handle normal diesel Not a fan of the handling as it is rather disconnected from the road and feels bulky, poor turning circle. There are lotus equipped / badged versions claiming to be better but i'm yet to drive one. Ride is rather comfortable, don't expect car-like though As for options all are pretty much the same as the average period SUV, try to get the model with the newer curved dashboard. Maintenance and parts cost land on the mild to moderate line, depends if one is buying premium bits or cheaper alternatives fuel consumption lands in the 8-10ish (kmpl) range / yet highly variable I'm sure others will add more, all the best

True, used many euros and even Japs for the Euro market, all manual with the Light stalk on the left, I feel it would have been better if you could have found the version with the flipped letters as it looks tampered with now. Maybe my paranoia Most average chaps in our country don't know to replace a bulb, thumbs up for the enthusiasm (atleast its not a hybrid)

In the US version the dealer fixes a charging station like thingy to your house, You need to have many requirements, Was wondering, So does the unit come bundled with the car here or is it just find the nearest clipsal?
-
In a country where econoboxes fetch over 5mil, you expect a canonized RB26DETT GT-R r34 for 3 mil; that also where we have only 2-3 examples?
-
True, this thing is a sight for sore eyes compared to things coming in this segment I'd prefer no bling though

If you want to separate the bumper from the lip by cutting through the tape, you can try it by using a string of fishing line or another strong thread, the same principle as on but it may not be possible with the contours of the bumper as you haven't stated what your car is, also keep an eye for hidden rivets the tape can be peeled of with a bit of force, if you want to be a bit adventurous go on it with a bit of diesel, rubbing compound or very mild abrasive paper, careful though. Good choice on putting the beading, hopefully someone with update you on that
-
adding onto my previous note, i guess the ECU has done a few changes, the engine is much more silent now, and pulls way better, as for economy I've stated before, Btw do they still distribute the older super diesel or is it 4star all over? and they've not labelled it? (obviously only Ceypetco)

Help To Remove Scratches Off The Paint And Plastics (Brake Lights)
tiv replied to gayanW's topic in General Automotive
Try using a bit of rubbing compund, 3m based if feasible or a cheaper one such as Vcut / Super cut etc. Apply mild pressure, don't over-do it as you can cut through the clearcoat into paint and so on, should be not more than a 1 min job, If you see bare metal or primer in the scratch, This won't help, Works on lights a bit as well. Go through the Headlight restoration post on the DIY section by jdnet, those methods may help. -
Most major cities and Roads are managed well, as for the complicated ones, they get about as foreign cricket commentators do with our native player names Been using Sala GIS almost a year (thanks to Komi) but Google with voice seems way better if one can integrate it to the existing media system

Looking For A Reliable Mechanic In Kandy
tiv replied to abcjayasinghe's question in Mechanical problems
Please do share about this joint, atleast via Pm Recently I had my wheel alignment done and the car was pulling to the left heavily, when I took it back to them they complain about lower arm suspension bushes (ODO only 26000km Toyota) they charged me an additional sum and somehow managed to stop the pull, when I had my tyre pressures checked later on it was absurdly high on one side and low on the other, they just said they check the tyre pressure on routine basis. I guess the balanced the tug this way without correcting the alignment replied MJR highly recommended from past experiences. -
May not be relevant, but recently I opted for a 3M style dust strap carpet (faux) saw a massive reduction in road noise, you maybe missing a layer
