  1. Thanks for the info DevakaC... Mind you, I'm not Ass. Just kidding mate. Take it easy.
  2. Thanks Peri
  3. Hi DevakaC, I was under impression that we should addup a certain percentage of water too with coolant... Please advise on this if you have a further idea on this since I might wrong here... Thanks,
  4. Thanks Much for sharing the valuable info jdnet. We should always be careful with this kind of idiots. Thanks again.
  5. 2.7 - 2.9M for a Vios??? #*@! People can overprice their cars when selling them. But we have to think twice whether we buy them or not. We can find a good Vios for bellow 2.5M. If we buy an overpriced car, then we also among the people who manupulate the car maket... Correct me If I'm wrong here dude...
  6. Hey.. Many happy returns of the day JD.. have a blast..
  7. Happy belated wishes Pericles !! You may have wonderful 365 days ahead.. cheers..!!
  8. Doesn't any of the above models hasn't got any sensor problems or any other troubles at all??? Come out from the Civic frame Jami. Think & advise independantly since your favour may not be matching with others. I personally drive a Mazda. But I would say Vios is also a good one. Now don't try to waste my time like you did to Peri. I won't reply.
  9. You can try for a Civic ES8. Plenty of good units can find. May be you will find an ES1 for that price if you are lucky. NZE 121 XLI unit also could be matching your budjet. Carina also a very good choice. I think a 1.8 SI My Road is better than 1.5 TI s & 1.6 GT s. If you looking for a sporty look, then GT will be better but mind you, this is not that good in fuel consumption since it has got a 20 valve engine(GT). But Carina is more comfortable than all 3 above mentioned models. Cheers for a good hunt....
  10. A really good point mate. Thanks for sharing.
  11. Yes, WELL DONE Manju. We are proud of you....
  12. +1 Ripper. If you have a closer look at this 121, you'll see that it's a Singapore assembled car. Alloys, XLI badge on diky, Leather seats will prove it. Also in SL we don't have such a good health care system. These guys are trying to prove that Toyota's are in lower quality with this kind of incedents. But they are not in a position to consider the factors, what type of an accident it is, where it has crashed, what kind of an object hit on it etc.. Ex, Gihan's STI hasn't crashed with any vehicle. The driver lost the control when he getting the corner & it has just air blown & rolled. But here it has knocked on a Leyland Lorry. May be the speed has exeeded 150+ & may haven't got a chance even to apply brakes. Also the Allion crashed on a tree & it has directly hit the roof of the vehicle.
  13. Have you tried on changing your Wiper Blades?? Does this thin water layer wipes off if you put your wiper switched on for a certain time period??
  14. Yes you can, unless the cop only watching at you without charging for wreckless driving. If he charged, still you can, if you have enough money for pay them.
  15. 100% agreed MasterDon. I'm also a new member to the forum but cannot accept this kind of silly threads. AL is not for jokers/time wasters & it is purely for gaining/sharing the knowledge what members have on automobile with each others. Uncle Sylvi seems to be better than this kind of people(don't get me wrong. I'm not a fan of him)
  16. Wish you all the best mate. Have a blast & a great 365 days ahead.... Cheers!!
  17. You are wrong here matey... 110 has got 1.5l & 111 has got only 1.3l. Note that the EE111 is made for export market & the 110 is the JDM version which has got more pulling power & options too. But there is a slight difference on the fuel efficiency which is EE111 is more efficient. Carina TI also a good car to drive but definitely will be beyond your budjet. Why don't you try a Mazda?
  18. Best thing is to go to the agent & have a full system check. They will give you a full report including what kind of expenses you will have to bare in near future. Make sure you have a test drive & check you satisfied with the car, prior to going to the agents. Congratz mate...
  19. 100% agreed. Anybody can make mistakes since English is not our mother toung. I'm still a very new member to this forum, but have been reading those articles for a long time. I have gained a huge knowledge from this AL forum. Special thanks to VVTI, Supra Natural, Gihan_FX, Harshansenadhir, The Don, Ripper, MkX for the precious knowledge & experience shared on the forum so far. So we let it have to other members & new comers too. Not being awkward here. Please don't get me wrong. We all are friends.
  20. Yeah... You can do it Murali. You deserve for it. Come on.. You are the pride of Sri Lankan Cricket & the ambessador of the relationships of different nations in Sri Lanka. Come on.. Just TWO more to go....
  21. I have driven all 3 models here & used for more than one year by each models except N16 (But I have driven it in several times) What my feeling is the AT 212 is the best option to go here as per my thoughts. Surely you can have the same fuel consumption or may be better than Nissans in Carina. Better if you could go for a 1.8 SI as it is more good in fuel. But 1.5 TI is also better when compared to Sunnys. Mind you, this will always depend on your driving style. But still the comparison will be same since you are driving in same style either one of those. Maintenance cost will be cheaper in Carina than Nissans but mind you that sapre parts are freely available on all those three models. Interior wise, you may having a slight old look in Carina. FB 15 & N16 are having a better interior environment but still it will depend on your choice & taste. Ability to resale is also higher in Carina than Nissans since it is a fast moving model. ** I wonder why The Carina Even after the tax reduction lurks ABOVE my budjet mark** - No wonders here with me. This is Sri Lanka ne machan... (Don't get me wrong that I haven't gone against my country's goodwill here...) Finally, I cannot say that you should go for this or that since it's your decision. All we can do is give our advises & share our experiences on those vehicles. Decision is up to you matey.. Have a good hunt anyway.. Cheers.
