  1. Machan i think Elite ezi is Auto right..?? Is it worth to pay 1.8Mn+ for a Elite Auto..?? Sure the performance will be very much lesser that manual one..
  2. I thought Passo engine is from Toyota.. But you are correct i guess. I did some googling and found that Passo engine is from Daihatsu.. Damn..!! Link - http://eng.motorsporlari.net/car/tech_spec.asp?specID=23591&make=Toyota So its about paying 1.5Mil for Viva with a Daihatsu engine <BrandNew> and 2.5Mil for Passo with a Daihatsu engine <Used>....???
  3. R U Sure..?? 'Same Engine'..??? How about this one; 1. Passo vs Viva - Which one got fastest acceleration..? 2. Passo vs Viva - Which one has top speed..?
  4. Thanks alot Crosswind..
  5. As i can remember i spent 12K for front wind-shield, 10K for rear wind-shield, 8K for windows in 2008 for 3M Chrysteline Tint..
  6. Really respect all you Mini owners comments.. I just shared my experience on Mini. Its Mini Rover 1.3i (Auto Verision).. Anyway learnt alot from all you Mini experts comment. Should try to fix a brake boost (Vacuum servo) as first thing. Any possibility of power steering conversion..??
  7. Thank you very much Sifaan for the valuable information. So its only option left is crystalline tint.. So when doing the car with crystalline tint I should ask them whether is possible to avoid the 3M mark on side windows like the crystalline tint on winshields. I didn't like the logo in windows..
  8. Buying a MINI - ~~~~~~~~~~~ You can buy a MINI 1.3i Auto version for around 5-6 Lahks if you can find the places in Kurunegala.. <Will not be too hard to find>. Then you need to clear the documentation for the car (Normally this can be done by the same place). Finally you have a very good condition MINI. Problems in MINI - ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Normally MINI 1.3i doesn't come with Power steering, Survo brakes. So you need to get use to the steering. Dnt ever try to stop the car like a new car, cause brakes are not that good. So you need to get used to that also. - MINI doesn't have a good ground clearence, so you need to be carefull on that also. Also you have the Oil sump at the front just under the engine which is very low but you have a guard in front of it. - MINI is having sealed beam headlights which might trouble you driving on rainy day with on comming traffic. - MINI's engine is very compact and a bit heaty, so sometimes you might feel the heat inside, and MINI's A/C is not that good as a new car but managable is you are using MINI for fun and not using it far daily travel in hot sun. - For engine troubles you defenitly have to go to a MINI specialist. DO NOT GO TO ORDINARY GARAGE'S..!! - Since MINI is a old car how good you maintain you might get bubles on your paint here and there. So need to treat them also. Finaly - ~~~~~ - If you like to collect cars they buy a MINI, it will give you loads of fun.. (Fix a good audio setup and RF speaker set.. it will give you the fun to the MAX..) If you plan to use the MINI for daily travelling better think twice.. Anyway all the best..
  9. One of my cars are having crystalline tint on all glasses. But there are times that i thought that i have wasted my money on spending crystalline rather than going for 3M tint. (Eg when times i park the car in sun for 1 or 2 hours and going in sun, although you feel the cool in A/C still doesn't feel too comfortable.. I think the heat is more because the car is black) In addition when the tint guy show me that no heat is passing through the crystalline tint with thier Red colour torch i feel the heat in the sun on my hand a bit when the sun is droping on your hand (around 10am).. How about the darkest 3M tint.. Anyone feel that heat?? Finally i think; 1. Dark 3M tint on rear wind sheild is not good. 2. Dark 3M tint on front windows not good. What is the best option you think..?? ** Go for crystalline tint again..? (On all glasses)..?? BTW.. Thank you a million times to all who gave their experience.. Really appreciate the help you all gave..
  10. Spot on.. Thats my question.. Anybody has experience in reversing the vehicle at night with the darkest 3M tint with no reverse camera.. (I'm scared to fix reverse camera as it might void the company warranty).. In addition lets say 'I have a tint permit', if i do the front windows with darkest 3M tint will i have visibility issues with side mirrors(With out cutting the tint for mirrors) I know with ordinary tint you are in trouble.. (Like my dad's car)..
  11. I’m planning to do a 3M Dark Tint for my rear windows and rear wind-shield. Does any one has experience by doing so will put you in trouble when reversing at night?? (Cars which doesn’t have night vision reverse cameras) My dad’s car is having an ordinary tint and I find little difficult when reversing at night. (specially to places where no road lights..) The reason for trying to go for a darkest tint is I did the clear type 3M tint for one of my cars and I found that its not reducing heat as much as the darkest 3M tint. And one more question is there mirror type 3M tint available is SL..? Which tint does best (reducing heat)?? Really appreciate 3M tint owners comments on my humble request.. Thank you, Kmeeg.
  12. Guys i have also fitted HIDs to my car.. Sure it gives good light and never had issues with cops up to date. They are H4 6000K ones. On my opinion its worth using existing halogen lights.. Unless your car is having poor halogen headlights.. I telling i'm having same type of cars one fixed with Xeonn 6000K HIDs (and properly aligned by a place who has equipment needed for the job) and one with Factory fitted Halogens. I likes the HIDs early days i fixed them but now i prefer driving the one with halogens.. I believe halogens produce more usable light than HIDs. HIDs are good to give a punishment to stupid drivers who doesn’t know to Dip their headlights.. Some times it’s a little fun to blind them for few seconds for their bad practice..
  13. This gvnmnt a$% holes really dnt care abt people.. I have payed an advance and taken the loan according to the salary. now suddenly these a#$ holes have increase taxed and now in trouble finding the balance. Have to go begging in pettah oh something..
  14. I also take my corrolla to Kl**n park for interior cleaning. They did a super job. May be its because my dad was their until they finish the job and my dad is good on 'People Management'.. Interior cleaning @ KL PRK cost me abt 4K+ and exterior was abt 3K+. Total package was abt 7500 bucks (Plus few notes for 'People Management').. PS - My car is having fabric seats.. for those who are having leather seats i'm not sure what is the best place. But i believe KL PRK will do a good job..
  15. I'm also having a Viva & i'm extremely happy with it. Now i'm going for the second one 'Viva Elite'. Hopefully i will get it this June.. My first Viva is a 660 version and it was superb on fuel. I’m going for the 1000cc Elite as I heard it is also good on fuel and power. Viva 660 will be safer for my wife to drive.. heh heee.. Any Viva Elite owners in forum..?? Just wanna knw abt the engine power & fuel.. I saw videos in youtube Viva 1000cc going 170kmph..!! (Certainly I’m not going to test the speed..) just to get an idea about the power.. so that I can move around the traffic quicker.. Anybody found any defects in Viva Elite 1000CC manual (Or even Auto, will help the general community) ..?? I didn’t have any issues with Viva 660 for nearly 2yrs now. It is good as I bought it brand-new in 2009.. J For the people who dnt like perodua’s what I can tell you is its not too comfortable as the corolla (which my dad owns) and not too silent.. But overall it is an ideal car for daily travelling and for anybody who dnt wanna get into racing on the streets.. J (But I did 100+ comfortably with my Viva600)
  16. Ya machan. Got them from Pet@o.. One bulbs has 6 or 8 small leds.. Can't remember the exact count now. Ya the pics were taken after the adjustment. But you can't see the alignment as the ground is not level and car is not 100% straight. Left side ground is a little higher than the right..
  17. Hi Kelum, Please find the original pics taken after fixing the HID Kit (Pics taken when headlights are in Dipped position).. Pic1 is taken from inside the car and Pic2 is a pic of the headlight. I erased the reg. plate from the second pic.. <Just in case there are any cops in the forum> Thank you for all the advice and support you gave on this. Really appreciate it.. Will share more info after using sometime, specially i want to see how it performs on rainy conditions.. As you said i did a small adjustment also to the alignment. Hope on coming traffic won't have problems after adjusting it. Kmeeg..
  18. Try Mr Dhammika - 0112694223..
  19. We still have a KE72 Too.. But we rarely use it.. It came with 1300 Engine, 12inch rims, sealed beam head lights, A/C, etc.. No central locking, No rear wipers or de-mister. I have done few modifications with ease.. Fixed 13inch alloys, New Halegon head lights with adjusting the alternator, Central locking with security system, New A/C unit, Green LEDs for dashboard, etc.... I tell you this is a car which is ready for anything.. So not to worry buying a KE72 machan.. (See the pic of the car attached)
  20. How about a Volkswagen Golf Mk5 GT which comes with 1.4 L petrol engine in twincharger (TSI) configuration...
  21. Waiting to recieve my Philips HID-Xenon Kit on Friday.. I have ordered via P@tco.. Its a 6000K H4 kit. This will suit my original reflectors.. Will inform more details after installation. And i hope this will not put glare on on-comming traffic and also not to get trouble with cops.. Kmeeg.
  22. Thx Kelum..
  23. Kelum, Just one more question.. Did u import HID conversion set and fixed by Pet#o or Did you purchase HID KIT from Pet#o..? If you have imported, can u please share contact whom can get me down a Philips HID Kit suitable for H4 bulb reflectors.. <Even at a higher price> Regards, KMeeg.
