Hi All,

Can anyone recommend what is the best place for HID-Xenon Conversions in SL? I have found few place who do HID-Xenon Conversions in big..

1. Adv**ce C*r Ad**o

2. P*tco La*ka

3. S*n La*ka

If money is not concerned and if you are looking for the 'BEST' HID-Xenon Conversions what is the place..? Please do share ur ideas.. :alc:

BTW: Does this conversions have focus sing issues. Since different cars have different bulb types (H4,H7,...) I believe most common type is H4 right..? (My car also have normal H4 headlights..)

Thank You,

Kmeeg.

Bro,

If you can get down a set like Bosch or Philips it would be fine. We got ours done from Pet#o. Didn't go to Advance as i've heard that their workmanship isn't good and also wasn't sure of the "Promata" brand marketed by Sun lanka. And as the brand "Xeonn" marketed by Pet#o was used by some of my friends and they did not have any issues and also as Pet#o offered a longer warranty went for it :)

The HIDs work best in Projector housing. Therefore reflectors designed for halogens do scatter light but that too varies from reflector to reflector :)

And whats your vehicles?

The HIDs are 35W each so that would be 70W for both. They consume less power than your conventional bulbs which are 55w each

you can get it online at ebay, I got for mine.. but be aware there are philips original and fake. They ship it through DHL or EMS and get here in 2- 4 days.. the Original is about Rs. 25,000 and there is another one which I got from ebay was said to be from Germany, Frankfurt were Rs.15,000 with Fedex delivery in 2 days I think are fake, or much lower quality than the originals I got from Hong Kong which are definitely genuine cos there is a code to check it but were around RS.25,000 + 2000 taxes in SL.

:) And go for 6000K or 8000K bulbs. Dont go beyond that. If you can find 4300K it would be the best. But i think its not available here :)

YEa muchang! when the K value goes up the visibility will be reduced and the beam would get more bluish and then to indigo. as Kelum said 6000k (snow white) or 4300k would be the best providing the best useful luminosity for the human eye.

cheers, :alc:

Hi Kelum,

Please find the original pics taken after fixing the HID Kit (Pics taken when headlights are in Dipped position).. Pic1 is taken from inside the car and Pic2 is a pic of the headlight. I erased the reg. plate from the second pic.. ninja.gif <Just in case there are any cops in the forum>

Thank you for all the advice and support you gave on this. Really appreciate it.. alc.gif

Will share more info after using sometime, specially i want to see how it performs on rainy conditions..jumping-smiley-013.gif

As you said i did a small adjustment also to the alignment. Hope on coming traffic won't have problems after adjusting it.

Were these pics taken after the adjustments??. Yah check it in rainy conditions. For us 8000k is fine even on rainy days(* Might be because of the fogs). grinning-smiley-003.gif Also did u get LED parking bulbs??

Ya machan. Got them from Pet@o.. :) One bulbs has 6 or 8 small leds.. Can't remember the exact count now. Ya the pics were taken after the adjustment. But you can't see the alignment as the ground is not level and car is not 100% straight. Left side ground is a little higher than the right.. :)

afaik that's H3 which comes for fog lights,H3C came with JDM vehicles,I tried looking at most of the places in Sri Lanka, but none of them have any in stock.

I think I may have to opt to ebay or some other online shop.
