    Thanks for starting this thread tiv, A few weeks back, I was having a conversation with a group of my friends at work about a guy at work (who is still in his twenties) who lost vision in one eye due to an accident. He is using a prosthetic eye now and the guy who was also part of the conversation said that he had not even thought about obtaining a license, thinking that he would not be allowed to drive with his condition. I was really saddened after hearing that and was wondering whether there are options for persons such as this guy...

    Yes, both Crosswind and bogzy are correct. That's a 1.6L (4G18 engine). The seller has to be either ignorant or a broker to not know the correct engine capacity of the car he's selling.

    The flyover at Athurugiriya was opened yesterday. The OCH goes underneath the Malabe - Athugugiriya road at this point. Further construction is going ahead to build the interchange here: The temporary road which was built (until the flyover was complete) can be seen towards the left of the photo.

    The Mitsubishi and the LANCER badges are available in accessory shops in Darley road. They have the emblem also (red or chrome) in different sizes. The trim level badge (GLX/GL/MX/MX-E/MX-S etc.) is a bit hard to find. It might have to be sourced from eBay as trinity mentioned.

    The best thing is to call them up or send an email explaining the situation, they might be able to advise you as to which category the offence falls into.

    I noticed on my daily trip to office what is slowly starting to shape up like an interchange at Athurugiriya, although in the initial plan, there was no mention of an interchange at Athurigiriya. Turns out I was right: Any idea why they have called them "temporary entry/exit points"? The same article mentions about a "high elevated road" from Athurugiriya to Orugodawatta.

    Unbelievable how a large scale vehicle importer/seller does stuff like this. Thanks for sharing OP, and thumbs up on the fact that you did your homework on the car before buying it. The thought of thousands of such cars being on the road right now is just terrifying. Forgive my ignorance but does the Consumer Affairs Authority usually take such cases seriously and take action against the seller? They seem to be having an online complaint form and a set of listed offences, but I've never heard of a situation where it has actually worked on the favour of a consumer.

    Oh... I actually didn't think this was that same car. Read the OctaneHead article about that Corolla and it looked very different to what I saw on the road that day. Let's just say that I was only referring to the rims in this case... respect for the car.

    Just checked on Google Maps and the distance is 99km from the Kottawa interchange to Pinnaduwa interchange.

    The Mathugama - Kalutara road to which the Dodangoda exit falls is also pretty good. By the way, 2 hours on the E01 from Kottawa to Galle? I've kept it under the limit and have managed to do the trip in around an hour or so - multiple times.
