I guess this beats all the counter arguments. Very good point. No offense, but for everyone who're thinking of trying this out on public roads, please put up a sign on your car for the safety of the general public. I don't mind moving out of the way when you practice those stunts. Maybe something like this:

Thanks Peri. Using Google Drive already for my personal stuff + to share among a small group (project team etc.) but never publically. For public sharing, I'd still rather use some other means than use my Google account. I hope you understand what I mean. -

I'll try 4shared machang. I saw that the manuals above are also available for download from 4shared, so it should do the trick. About your Owner's Manual, take your time bro. Thanks in advance! Cheers! Davy -

Hi Trinity, I totally understand what you mean bro. In fact, I spent a considerable amount of hours reading them and I still have more to go through! I'll upload the ones I have as well machang, will share the links on this thread itself. It would be great if you can scan and upload the Owner's Manual, I know it requires a whole lot of time and patience. As I have probably told you, my previous owner never gave me the manual, apparently he has lost it. Sigh! Cheers! Davy -

That's great! I doubt ordinary photocopy places will be able to do a good job so I suggest you give it to a good place machang, get it done so that it looks exactly like the original. As I told you, the guy who copied mine didn't do a good job, so I need to get it copied all over again. Good Luck! -

I found the same set of manuals on the web a few weeks ago when I was searching for something totally different. @Trinity, I think these are the same ones I have that I told you about machang, but the start page and the links to the PDFs are a bit different. @Bogzy, I remember doing a search myself, but didn't find this thread. I hope we can find the owner's manual as well. (The Engine Workshop Manual I sent you is a part of this) @E L N I N O, Please tell me these are not the manuals we found on the web 2 years ago? I didn't know you opened up a thread about this so I was hunting for these all over the web! Search Tags: Mitsubishi Lancer CS1 CS2 CS3 Service Manual Workshop Manual -
I caught a glimpse of the new AutoLanka site last night and I think it looked superb! I bet the forum is just as good. Waiting for the new version. Hope the deployment goes fine during the weekend. Good Luck MADZ!

Looks great! Thanks for sharing. For a second I thought that first photo was from some other country.

I have to agree. Underpowered plus the one that I used to have (Optima VC 300) couldn't even stay alive until I cleaned the entire car... not even after a full charge.

Best Wiper Blades For Summer & Winter In Sri Lanka
Davy replied to Prami's topic in General Automotive
About the look, well I think that’s subjective. I think they look great. But you’re right; it depends on the car as well. There was a noticeable difference (maybe not ‘exceptional’). I found it to be much smoother than the traditional blades. Probably because the extra flexibility allows them to hold on to the windscrren much better. I think I recall my dad telling me about this. Will try it out. Thanks! -
Best Wiper Blades For Summer & Winter In Sri Lanka

Same experience here. I have a set of Wurth aero blades and I thought it would be more durable. (after spending over 5000 bucks on wipers! ) But the good thing about aero blades are that they're "refillable" - you only have to change the rubber blade; and it's a DIY job. -
Says HERE though that the fire had erupted following an accident. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCjY7jRCduM

What Should Care Of When Driving On Water/raining Days!
Davy replied to ColomboRox's topic in General Automotive
Moisture/Condensation buildup on windshields can be a real pain sometimes; especially if you’re driving a car without AC or if your car gets a little crowded. Unless of course you have heated windshields and stuff like that onboard. Turn on the defogger on the rear windshield if required. Most vehicles have a defogger as standard nowadays. Maintain a good temperature inside the car so that moisture doesn’t build up on the inside. If the front windshield still gets foggy, direct the airflow of the AC towards the windshield using the AC vent controls. (works faster than cleaning with a cloth) -
Welcome to the forum! Assuming you mean converting from... To... Yes you can, but I'm afraid you'll not be able to get away with replacing just the headlamps. You'll have to replace/change the bonnet and the grille as well. Hope this helps.

Diy How To Change Disk Brake Pads And Rotors The Correct Way

Thanks for the tip Ripper. Will remember to do that next time I get stuck. -
The story behind the abandoned BMW 5 Series: Apparently the owner of this car is some big shot at a reputable insurance company in Sri Lanka and went there were some discrepancies with regards to their assets and so on, the owner had taken off the engine off the car and dumped it in this land which also belonged to the so called "insurance company". A recent photo I managed to capture. (This time I didnt even bother to erase the plates ) What I saw a few days ago... The security said that a truck came and took the car away and thats all they know. All I wish is that someone gets that car back on its wheels and not turn it into scrap metal.

I sent you a PM. Hope you get it sorted out. Good Luck!

Awesome first episode! This is one local TV show that I'll keep watching. Well done and keep it up!

Interesting topic. I have some concerns though. The previous owner of my car had replaced the original plastic radiator with a copper tank + aluminum core radiator. (due to a crack in the original) I’m using tap water as well. I see a lot of rust forming up, sometimes making the water brownish and I think it's because the car sits at home during most of the week days. I did a couple of radiator flushes at home so far but it just keeps coming back. Would the situation have been different if the radiator was the original plastic one? Can this be a possible drawback of using tap water instead of coolant? Thanks!

Damn... That kind of defeats the whole purpose of having a website! I guess you'll have to do it the old fashioned way then. Please go through THIS thread as well.

Diy How To Change Disk Brake Pads And Rotors The Correct Way
Davy replied to blkr6's topic in DIY (Do-It-Yourself)
I was able to find Brake Cleaner ("Brake and Contact Cleaner" it says on the can) and I used it to clean the front brakes. Works pretty well! I replaced the front brake pads on my Lancer CS3 last weekend and it was a success, thanks to you. Had a little trouble pushing the piston back because I didnt have a c-clamp so I hooked up a nut and bolt (with a washer) to push it inside. Thanks again blkr6!
