Read Sampath's post above. It won't cost you 90K. It won't even cost you 1/4 of that.

Been using a OnePlus One for over an year now and I have no complaints and I love it! The OnePlus Two is out and... Dual Sim: Yes Android: Yes, 5.1.1 Screen: 5.5 inches Cost: 329 dollars onwards You will have to order and ship it to a US address by using a service like ComGateway and then have them ship it to Sri Lanka. You'll also need to get hold of an invite to be eligible to buy the phone. More info at OnePlus.net. If you just want to get hold of a phone without all the hassle, then this is probably not the one for you although this is the cheapest one with the specs that can be compared with other flagship phones.

Since this happens at your own home, you can also think about installing a CCTV unit or even a simple motion sensor that triggers a light or something as this is happening too frequently. A cheap Chinese CCTV unit can be purchased for less than 10,000. Cannot comment on their reliability as I have not used them personally. According to your first picture, neither riveting nor chaining will prevent from that kind of damage. The mirror appears to be broken off from the arm itself. Can't believe the bugger actually did that without making a sound. Even if the thief was interested in nabbing only the glasses while they are secured using cables, I think they can be cut using pliers pretty easily. If you really don't want to drill the body of the car to rivet the badges, What you can probably do is paste rivet heads on the badges so that they appear to be riveted. This was suggested by someone on the forum many months ago and I thought it was a good way to fool thieves into thinking that the badges are actually riveted.

Mitsubishi TC-SST Video Series by MRT Performance Here's a series of videos by MRT Performance - a workshop in New South Wales, Australia that does work on performance cars. The gentleman in the videos is Brett Middleton, a pleasant character whom I contacted before buying my car, for advice. He pointed out from where I can get my car serviced in Victoria (since NSW is almost 1000km away). A knowledgeable engineer. Mitsubishi TC-SST oil cooler and other info: TC-SST secrets (part 2): TC-SST secrets (part 3): Tried finding part 4, but couldn't find it. TC-SST secrets (part 5): TC-SST secrets (part 6): TC-SST secrets (part 7): TC-SST mechatronic solenoids: Their channel has heaps of other videos on the RalliArt (and others) and comparisons to the Evolution X and so on.

Mitsubishi TC-SST (Twin Clutch - Sport Shift Transmission) Articles Okay guys, since a lot of you have questions about the TC-SST transmission, here's an introduction to the SST. Intro (sorry I couldn't find a way to embed the video in the post): http://www.knoxmitsubishi.com.au/videos/video/61 One of the best articles I have found online about the SST (How it works, problems, upgrades): http://www.jackstransmissions.com/pages/sst-how-it-works-problems-upgrades EDIT: Adding more info Specs of the TC-SST (Model No. 6DCT470) by Getrag: http://www.getrag.com/media/media/press/english/2012_2/2012_02_01_presskit_6dct450/Press_information_6DCT450.pdf

Yes madmax, it's Mitsubishi's TC-SST that comes with the Evolution X. While the Evo has three shift modes (Normal, Sport and Super Sport), the RalliArt has two (Normal and Sport). There are places that does transmission ECU re-flashing that allows Super Sport mode to be enabled. Thanks isam. I wanted a black one until I set my eyes on this. Edit: Corrected typos

From your photos, it looks like there has been bodywork done on the car before as well (referring to the spot-welded panel inside the trunk and the patch panel attached to the wheel well). And it looks like the panels were not painted after being attached. Have the tinkerer remove the rust on the panels, and give a good seal (undercoating on the under side and a few layers of paint inside the trunk) so that they don't rust again.

Did this also solve the stalling problem when shifted into reverse?
-
Damn, that is horrific! Read in the news that the death count has risen to 5.

Good luck with the restoration racerboy! You might want to use an image hosting site like photobucket to share your photos (here's how). The space on the forum to share images will run out pretty soon.

I assume you are referring to throttle body/carburetor cleaner. While it is okay for TB cleaner to be sprayed into some engines, some manufacturers strictly warn against doing so. Follow this thread and read up on the best way to clean a throttle body. Taking the throttle body out of the car, spraying TB cleaner onto a clean piece of cloth and then wiping the throttle body is what I would advise. If you must spray it, make sure your Idle Air Control Valve (IACV or ICV) and Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) are removed from the throttle body as they might get damaged as discussed in the thread to which I have provided the link above.

lol dammit. And I was typing on my PC too so can't blame autocorrect. Thanks mate! I'll try share to a few "porn" videos on this thread when I can.

I was surprised to find out that hey have actually used it on the 2009 - 2011 Outlander as well. But the newer model seems to be having CVT, so it doesn't really look like they are keen on using them on future models. Mitsubishi's TC-SST is manufactured by a company named Getrag. I remember reading that the initial versions of the transmission were not perfect and that consumers (of the Evolution primarily) had a lot to complain about. Fortunately for Mitsubishi, newer versions of the transmission proved to be pretty reliable even when pushed really hard. Apparently, the earlier transmissions gave trouble also due to Mitsubishi severely underestimating the level of service required for the TC-SST transmission.

I now have my bet on possibility number 1 listed in my previous post. I doubt an engine tune-up will address your issue. A tune-up covers the cleaning of the fuel system and throttle body and is unlikely to address any electrical issues. Try this: - Locate the fuse related to the reverse lights (Since this is a converted Lancer, you might want to check if the fuses actually belong to the circuit indicated on the diagram on the fuse box cover) - Remove the reverse light fuse (Alternatively, you can remove the reverse light plug connector on the gearbox. It is located just below the air filter, where gear lever cable meets the gearbox) - Start her up and shift to reverse If the engine doesn't stall, then the is a very high probability that there is either a short circuit or incorrect wiring on the car.
-
That's strange... Do you have trouble shifting into reverse or does it enter smoothly? How about other gears? All smooth?? I can only think of the following: 1. Electrical - The reverse light circuit causing a short with a vital circuit of the car. Can cause the ignition system to stop functioning or something. 2. Mechanical - Your hydraulic clutch slave cylinder behaving erroneously when shifted to reverse and causing the clutch to engage. If this was the case, your car would slightly jerk (similar to what happens when clutch balancing fails) or hear grinding noise. 3. Mechanical - The transmission itself having an issue. Manual transmissions rarely give issues like this, so I'd be surprised if it was an issue with the gearbox itself. Again you would probably notice abnormal grinding/clunking sounds if it was something wrong with the transmission. Interesting to see what others have to say.

Yes, the RalliArt has a turbo engine (as I said before, same engine as the Evolution X), but the VR-X has a non-turbo engineThe series names for the Lancer in Australia is a bit different, I'm not sure how they are named but the names are not related to the platform number (the one we use to refer to cars in Sri Lanka. CK, CS and so on). They're as follows: CK Platform is referred to as the CK Lancer in Sri Lanka, but as the CE Lancer in Australia CS Platform is referred to as the CS Lancer in Sri Lanka, but as the CG (pre-facelift) and GH (facelift) Lancer in Australia GS Platform is referred to as the CY Lancer in Sri Lanka, but as the CJ Lancer in Australia So, CJ referrers to the entire series including the Evo. Mine is CY (CY4 to be exact), the Lancer EX in Sri Lanka is CY1. More info here. Thanks! Feels like nothing I have driven before. Noticed that shifting is a bit laggy when the transmission is cold, but after it warms up, it shifts almost instantly. In normal mode it shifts as if we would shift a manual when driving economically. But it screams the hell out when switched into sport mode and uses everything it's got.Yes, it downshifts as well and yes again - it instantly shifts down when you put your foot down. Driving in manual mode is most fun.

When exactly does the engine stall? Is it while holding the clutch pedal down (as soon as the gear enters reverse) or is it when you start letting go of the clutch?
-
Thank you! As Magnum said, I think you mean a VR-X and yes, the VR-X is actually the highest spec Lancer of them all. From outside, there are only a few subtle differences between the VR-X and the RalliArt Thanks machang! Yes, it would have been nice to own it in SL. Thanks! Thank you! Thanks SamG! Yes, I was always keeping an eye out for the model and quickly picked this one as it had everything that I was looking for. Thanks! Even the CY series has a VR-X and comes with a 2.4L (4B12) engine.

For those who'd like to know more about the car, here is a Product Presentation Video: Road test of the 2009 model by Motorweek: Note the red multi info display between the gauges and the lack of an optional double din communication system in this particular car that they're reviewing. An informal road test that I kind of enjoyed watching:
