    Breakpads

FBK is good and there are duplicates. But I prefer FBL, it is better than FBK For your problem..... The disk must have warn unevenly. face the disk or wait for few months till brake pads beds to the disk....
  2. Shall we collect details of fuel sheds that had 95 octane fuel that caused the vehicles to stall? I saw some posts about 95 octane too... Surely they must be selling 90 octane instad of 95 octane or mixing them.
  3. Yes there can't be that sound in this model if you are moving. But there is a minimum speed that it override the system. Just like in ABS.. ABS function will not operate at slower speeds ( It varies between 5km/h to 10km/h)
  4. User manual or a workshop manual..?
  5. My advice is to stay away from Korean stuff for now.... They are aging too quickly.
  6. Check spark plugs and make sure the throttle body and IAC valve is clean.
  7. From your list... Carina.
  8. This is a actual photo of the parking mechanism of a A/T. "A" is the notch that holds the drive shaft gear that is similar to gear wheel "B". Now i think you can understand how the "tak tak" sound came. This is not from a Honda CVT. This is a toyota. But the principle is same for parking mechanism.
  9. Honda CVTs are electronically controlled. It will not engage the reverse gear unless the vehicle is stopped.
  10. Removing injectors and cleaning them manually is totally unnecessary unless you haven't used your vehicle more than 2-3 months or it has clocked more than 150k. I haven't seen a manufacturer who has recommended this kind of cleaning in there workshop manuals. Change fuel and air filters when necessary and don't let the fuel level go below 1/2 tank. This will keep the injectors in good condition. If your mechanic has a very clean environment to clean the injectors allow him to do that. Otherwise you are letting in dust and meny other particles while removing carbon deposits at the out side of the injector. Use "wurth" stuff. it's great.
  11. My father had one of these in early 90s. I think most of them has upgraded in to door mounted mirrors now. That's why you can't see them now.
  12. Oh, No. NO Don't. This is a great thread for some people to increase there number of post figures. Most of them are afraid to face the truth.
  13. I haven't tried this, but in Honda CVT's, even if you change the gear lever in to "R" (actually accidentally) while driving forward the control unit does not allow the gear box to engage the reverse gear.
  14. There is a small notch that engage with a cog wheel in the gear box that lock the drive shaft When you put the gear lever in to "p". If you can move the vehicle when the gear in "P" and parking brakes are released, yes, the notch or the cog wheel has damaged. Otherwise, OK. But it is better if you can change the gear oil. This accident could have left broken metal particles in the gear box, that can be harmful to the CVT belt.
  15. This is slightly deferent from the JDM models. But most of the contents are same. Anyway.. Thanks sala... I already have this copy. I also have the japanese one too. I use google translator to translate the things when I want them.

    Mazda 3 & Axella

I really don't like to compare Mazda 3/Axcela with a Corolla. Corolla is far far behind.... Mazda 3/Axcela is a REALLY GOOD CAR....
  18. Yes.. this is very useful IC..... thanks for sharing mnaka.... I haven't tried this....
  19. How much is the RPM when idling...?
  20. Mazda 3/Axela has tiptronic. And it's a marvelous gearbox.
  21. Sorry guys... Yes this is a four speed automatic...
  22. CVT. And some models have 7 speed tiptronic function.
  23. When you ara at "2" it doesn't shift in to 3rd gear. it only uses 1st and 2nd gears only. when you are in D-3 it changes gears from 1st to 3rd according to the speed and load. With less load and high speed the gear box chooses the top gear (in this case 3rd). When you are going down hill the load is less and you have to use brakes to slow it down. We all know using brakes long time means disaster. so we need engine braking. the option is changing the gear to a lower ratio. And that is "2". Some auto boxes even today uses the old type hydraulic mechanism to determine the gear changes. And they all now going towards to electronically controlled units because of the programmability of the unit. And you are correct, most systems doesn't let you to control 100%. Specially at down shift. But think... I know you can drive very slowly and try to shift it to 3rd. But, have you tried "going very fast and trying to shift to 1st" on a manual box.
  24. This is a base grade model. But UK models have more options than JDMs. And you can't change the language in the multi information display to English on a JDM. I don't know what are the options available in this particular car. But basically UK version is better than Japanese domestic model.
