  1. I have no idea about Micro vehicles..Kia spotage 2007 has solved most of it's problems had in the earlier versions..Freelander known for it's potential timing belt problems and transmission problems..even though the design is not handy as freelander i think kia spotage is a good choice for your budget..BTW what was the problem you had in your hilux ?
  2. As i know the standard tire pressure for 205/60/15 is 32 psi...If you consider the climate factor in Sri Lanka (considering as hot) it's not a problem if you fill 3 psi above the recommended pressure for the tire..but it's always good if you can use the right tire pressure and have a air pressure checkup once a week... Sorry guys I have to accept that i have done a small mistake here..it should be below..not above..

    New Mazda Demio

Mate..honestly saying thats not true that it's getting a sensor problem. My wife was using a demio for four years and just recently we changed the car, not that it's having any problem.just to taste another one..still one of friends using a 2007 model and he is absolutely happy with it..it's not true that Mazda is not a good brand..it's very reputed brand in Japan even though it's not the case in Sri Lanka..
  4. Mate ..why don't you use the search option given in this forum before posting a question like that..????? all those things have been discussed before...

  8. Hi Guys, Does any of you using Honda Crossroad??????..yesterday my friend bought one.and it looks reasonably good looking..specially from the front it looks like a little Hummer .. and inside there two back rows of seats..but there is very less boot space and the options are very basic when consider the price and the look.. even though my friend bought it for family use everybody is disappointed with it's less space inside and A/C is not coming to the back at all..If we sat on the back seats it's like we are in a burner...ride quality and handling is very good and the performance of the engine also reasonable.it's a 2.0 L 150hp engine..it's a kind of a compact SUV, does any of you have any experience with this???
  9. It's unfortunate that you couldn't escape from them by giving a reload or tea money.. ..If you have been copped for reckless driving and directed to the courts, just go to the courts on the day and accept the offence..the judge will decide according to the facts provided by the police...don't worry mate..it's just a simple process and it won't be more than 7000 i suppose..you need a lawyer if you are planning to justify something that they copped you unreasonably...
  10. That why they are called V*P.. since we are not that very important to the country we should follow the rules..VIPs can always break it..and even VIPs servants friend's child also can break the rules..This is Sri Lanka mate..This is the unique way of treating the people..there is no equality at all..We have to vote them and we have to give the side to those V*P vehicles..thats the reality..you don't have to go for 20 km/h..just stick with 40-50 km/h in the city limits and do 70-75 km/h outstation..believe me machan there won't be any problem...
  11. I think belta 1000 cc not effective as 1300 cc as far as fuel consumption is concern..
  12. Nice pics mate..I like that black Porsche ...

  16. If a 2008 prius importing from Japan.. definitely there is a chance that the millage hit around 150,000 km or more..coz the average running on highways in Japan will be 50,000km per year minimum..but the millage of most of the cars imported to Sri Lanka , displaying around 30,000 km to 48,000 km which is unrealistic..
  17. There is no problem of posting the pictures mate..It's what shanx thinks and he got some evidences to support his opinion as well..If you are not doing that,It's not a problem for this forum..my cousin bro was working in Pakistan at Karachchi, as a production manager in an apparel industry factory..he was telling me that Pakistan is a better country than what it seems to be..so no argument on that..do share your valuable ideas with the majority of Sri Lankan forum members here..you are always welcome..
  18. Ok guys, Lets come to a conclusion...we all drive carefully..obeying each and every traffic rule..So there won't be any chance to be copped by the traffic police..It's just simple as that...
  19. I think you haven't read what i wrote... I have clearly mentioned If the seat belt is not wearing airbags are effective with the seat belts man...airbags alone will not save the life...
  20. Toyota Fever mate... and there are few fevers affecting to Sri Lankan car market as well... 01.Winker Mirrors 02.Teak Panels 03.Beige interiors 04.HID lights.
  21. Welcome to Auto Lanka Fady, Just wanted to know..how's the Pakistan's Japanese vehicle market..for example in Sri Lanka Toyota has dominated mainly the Japanese made market and Nissan ,Honda are the main competitors, while BMW,AUDI,and other EU brands hold a considerable amount of vehicles..how's the trend in Pakistan????..
  22. If it's a Japanese domestic model ..you can't change it..but If you got it from UK ..(now most of them importing from UK)..then it can be done by reading the user manual..But you will get A/C control..Audio..DVD player.Fuel consumption indicator and many more in English.. in fact the main menu is in Japanese..Try press once the INFO button on the steering wheel..then from the menu you get..you will see an icon like a book..touch that icon on the screen..then it should show a list of languages..from that you can select english..but, when you touch the book icon..if it's direct to another Japanese menu..then you can't change the settings...Coz..it can be a fully Japanese version..
  23. I'm sure they might be looking at the fuel consumption display..LoL ..even my wife used to do this..but within no time the main gas engine starts...I'm not really a fan of Prius..but fuel efficiency wise no other car can beat it...
  24. Have you seen like that???...I don't think they can drive like that for a long distance...
  25. If you know the traffic OIC's number..you should have given that number to that bugger.. then he will call to the OIC and borrow a police vehicle ...LOL
