VIOS does about 10 km/l in the city limits and 12 to 14 km/l outstation (depending on the driving style) FITARIA does the same. But I noticed some times Fitaira does more than 14 km/l outstation.. About the make both cars from Thailand..apart from the more positive things added in favour of VIOS by the forum members..,I should say Fitaria has more ground clearance ,which will suite to Sri Lankan roads..

I don't know about the other SUVs ,but very recently I contacted Mirco and inquired about Korando..they said the price of the Korando is (not permit price) 5.6 million and it does average 11 km/l fuel consumption..If you go with a permit, I'm pretty sure that Korando falls under your budget..

Whatever the term..my personal believe is that they are not necessary items for a vehicle..they are just merely used to make the vehicles attractive.

Yes that's true..that's called second hand market anyway Nissan D21 or Mitsubishi L200 also not bad either..If it's within your budget.. I think you can find even a hilux for your budget If you do a good search..

I suggest you to go for Hilux..lesser maintenance than other double cabs and better resale value than others..

I have no personal experience with this new Insurance company..but one of my friend has insured his car there and he told me that they are giving damn cheap premium compared to other insurance companies..Since they are new in the market..my friend told me that he had no issues in claims also..but never know how it will be after some time..They have the formula world at seeduwa that was with SLIC before..I think the company is still in there implementation level..they have their offices right at the moment with Lankabell offices..and it's a fully owned subsidiary of famous DCSL

I think about pajero IO we have discussed earlier..What I could remember is with the experiences of some members here, most of them didn't recommend this vehicle's GDI type..

If you are going outstation..try from Habarana to Kanthale A6 road..It's a fantastic road..can drive freely as you wish..and the road quality is absolutely first class..I reached upto 147 KMPH and had to slowdown as I saw some cops..

yes you are correct..I just wanted make him understand that by looking at the number of posts he cannot decide whether he's a big shot or not..I think he did like that... The number of years also cannot be a good deciding factor on this..I saw very recently a person who joined the forum on 2007 has posted his first post in this forum...so number of years factor we can omit. Mate, the number of posts will not show how senior they are..If somebody is uselessly arguing and keep on doing the same thing on and on then he'll become a fool himself irrespective of whether he's senior or junior..(big shots or small shots )..I think rightly so the big shots have understood that it's pointless to carry on this discussion..There is a well know saying in sinhala called "Gahanna gahanna wadina ekath modaya, wadinna wadinna gahana ekath modaya" If somebody doesn't keep quiet first both will become fools..

Yes Fitaria and City is not upto what you are looking for..but I think HR-V is having a reasonably good acceleration,have you driven HR-V?? It's very good than people assess it from outside.. In fact the fuel efficiency at the lower side than Toyotas..but, If you need a good acceleration means ,automatically the engine capacity should be high..engine capacity high means the fuel efficacy is always at it's lower limits. To have the reasonably good speed and comparably better fuel efficiency ek3 is good I suppose..but I would personally prefer HR-V

Ok machan It was just an idea..thought you would be interested as your GF also wants to drive..anyway I think you can go ek3 I think that will be the best..but If you do a good search even a GD8 Fitaria (2002,2003) and If you are interested in a small SUV the HR-V is under your new budget..finding parts for Hondas are not a big problem as people say..

Don't worry mate..If we are in SL ,we have to add the risk of bad fuel to our insurance cover list..

Machan he should be more concern about his GF than acceleration..acceleration and ladies won't tally much
