    I am waiting for my phone too. Will receive in this week. How to get that TRCSL approval? Also I am receiving the phone through USPS Express Mail International (from US). Any one have experience with this service? Should I go to customs or will they send it to door step?

    Using hand phone while driving is illegal. But is it illegal too if we use handsfree? Can a cop point out it is violating the law and fine us?

      Using firefox, everything is fine until you want to reply which becomes a pin in the a## in the end.

      Ya had/having the same problem with Mozilla when it comes to replying. Seems to work ok with IE8 up.

    Astar, KIA Picanto, Honda Brio (not available in Sri Lanka. You have to import from India.) I think value for money is KIA Picanto.

    Thanks friends. I've checked ebay. But there was comp 128 V1 compatibles only. Didn't found anything compatible with V2 and V3. I have Mobitel sim and Airtel (64k) sim that available after 2007. (V1 superseded by V2 after 2002 or 2005 no.)

    Friends, I am willing to use my hand phone as a navigation system in my car. I am using two sim cards from two service providers for data and voice. Therefore I thought to use a super sim. I got following questions... 1. Have you anyone have used a Super Sim in Sri Lanka? 2. Where to buy? 3. What is the cost? 4. Does any service provider has blocked the copying facility of their sim to another one? 5. Can we do it at home? (buying from ebay or locally if available.) 6. Does super sim supports an Android smart phone? 7. Any hands on experience? Thanks in advice..!

    There is an insurance we should pay when shipping things. Isn't it? (not the ordinary insurance that we do annually.)I think we cannot ship more expensive things like vehicles without an insurance. Is it valid only on the air or on the sea? or am I wrong?

    OT: Can't we recover it from the insurance? One person who I know have had to pay Rs. 50K or something for a lost of a side mirror of a Vitz at the shipment.

      They tried to fit the wrong size air filter in my cs2 and broke the air filter cover. Didn't even tell me about it, the cowards. Discovered it at home! Mirage seems a good name for them somehow, seems like a nice place, but it isn't.

      @Recless: True. I've seen in a news paper a person stoled more than Rs. 600K valuables from cars where parked near super markets.

      @ShintaroX: I smells something.! Worker came to me with my car Air Filter and asked me to replace it. He showed me some bents and few inordered surface marks and said should be replaced and cost is Rs. 1500. I refused it (only 2000 Km ran with it). Could it be happened? Are they gonna check everything even when we go for a wash n clean?

    I think it is available at any auto parts shop. I have seen at many small shops around. Just go to your nearest town and give the description of it. Thats what i did once for the same. No need of visiting darly road. And also you can fix it your self.

      Its a kingston 101. It never write or read at least 20MBps.

      I only found "Corsair Flash Voyager GT" on the net that exceeds 30MBps write speed. But never found in Sri lanka. BTW whats your pen model, capacity and price?

    I don't think one can get the vehicle on the same day even he paid in full. Because it takes time to register the vehicle. I paid in full on Tuesday and vehicle got on Friday (Even one day between that was a public holiday).. But Tuff Don's case is something...!

    All the sellers are charged that from customers. Best example is credit cards. Even though bank says they don't charge extra from the customer but the seller, the seller charge it from the customer. I am not aware of overseas.

    I asked what is the breakdown for extra payment of Rs. 12500/-, then they told me Rs. 7500/- for registration and Rs. 5000/- for withholding tax. I have seen this at NSB head office too. At the wall back of the counter.

      Use your hands. Save the money for good bottle of wax. Unless you want to use rubbing compound and polish the car, you wouldn't need a machine. Using a quick wax, you should be able to get the job done in less than 30 mins. With a machine it w ould take longer and the result is never as good as using your hands and a good microfiber towel.

      BTW I own the black an decker version of that polisher and only used it a couple of times before I gave up. It just does not have enough power.

      Ok. I'll forget that thing. I know with hand I can feel everything of the surface, Scratches etc. Even washed out bird poop marks :D. BTW I use "99" wax. Is it good or is there better ones (not a pricy one like 3M).

    Got by early September (ordered by end of April). Paid Rs. 7500/- for registration and Rs. 5000/- for withholding tax. That's all.

    Wel.. it took almost 5 months to get the car for me (registration and all. ordered late April). but they say now they can deliver in 3 weeks (but i don't trust). You have to pay extra rs. 7500/- for registration, rs. 5000/- for withholding tax, and extra rs. 12500/- or something (not sure the price one friend who ordered said it is about rs. 25000/-. better you ask the Unimo.) for the immobilizer that they equipped now.
