  1. Sorry for going slightly OT but are there any Korando users in the forum? I bought one couple of weeks back and have few questions to ask from the users.
  2. Don, what about the valuation reports by leasing companies and the few garages who does valuation like De S××va motors.
  3. Thanks Ruslan. I will try that.
  4. Can any one please suggest a good place to buy cleaning and conditioner products for leather interior. Searched Arpico Navinna but could not find any . Also any tips on leather care is highly appreciated.
  5. What ever business you intend to start do it honestly. Good luck!
  6. Been away for just 3 months and I missed all the excitement.
  7. Hybrid cars are designed in such a way that during an accident if any HV cables are damaged the power supply from the battery is immediately cut off. How ever if there is a direct impact on the HV battery (which is unlikely to happen in most accidents )we cannot rule out the possibility of a fire. The car manufacturers has given lot of thought when designing these cars so they are much safer than you think. One thing that we have to remember is that the chances are slightly higher due to the high voltages involved.

    Express-Way Updates

Lot of valuable information in that article. 1 billion USD is a lot of money. Hope they will find the right investor to complete the project without delays.
  9. Did you buy the main unit and the magnetic door switches and motion sensors seperately, or did they offer you a complete package?
  10. At this moment even I won't buy a Leaf as it has been around for only 3 years since it's launch. The battery issue due to the heat is a proof that the leaf is still undergoing teething problems. Using the national grid for charging the leaf is not economical under the current electricity tariff. Having a solar panel at home is the only viable solution.
  11. Yes. But the big question is will Nissan allocate their resources to test the car for SL.Since we are a very small market. Unless A*W decides to bring few of them and test.
  12. So when is it going to happen?
  13. There are few companies who sell these solar power (net metering or stand alone) systems. The good news is that the prices have come down from 700k to 400k for a 200 unit system within a very short time. I have done the wiring needed for such a system in my new house and now waiting for the prices to come down further. IMHO the future looks bright for EVs and solar energy harvesting in SL. Imagine charging your Leaf from the energy of the sun and never have to visit the fuel shed again.
  14. Few days back I was watching news on a certain private tv channel. Interestingly, soon after the news item about the suspension of milk products ads was announced guess what came up first in the commercial break. CHANDI BANDI! . Lol.
  15. Btw has anybody applied for peo tv recently? I'm waiting almost a month now and their only excuse is the set top boxes are out of stock.
  16. Too bad this guy haven't got time to enjoy any of it.
  17. Thats correct. The 2nd gen prius was manufactured till 2011 afaik mainly to compete with the Honda Insight, since the price of 3rd gen prius was about 3000$ higher than the Insight. But most of them were built for fleets services. I'm here in Japan for a brief stay and is overwhelmed by the number of prii on the roads.
  18. If you really need to invest in these finance companies do it only for small durations. Like 1 or 3 months. The returns will be less but also less worries. Otherwise go for a reputed bank like the PMB which is backed by the government. If you invest more than 1 million they give you special rates.
  19. If I were you I would go for a second hand car.
  20. Happy birthday doc!
  21. Hope the Prius boys will find this usefull. I have tried this myself and this method works fine. The procedure below is for 2004-2009 models. Others must check the battery with a voltmeter or a scan gauge. If anyone has a verified procedure for use on other models please post it. It's best to eliminate the common, simple and (relatively) cheap causes first. Dying batteries are near the top of this list. 12V car batteries have a lifetime of a few years. Draining a battery will usually permanently degrade it by some amount, and it will never work as well again. If the car starts having strange symptoms, or doesn't start reliably but runs fine, or if KMPL have been dropping and you've eliminated the other simple causes (low tire pressure, lots of recent short trips), test the 12V battery. A failing battery can even reduce KMPL because the car spends more energy trying to keep it charged. DO-IT-YOURSELF TEST PROCEDURE - Without brake pedal, press the Power button once and release to enter ACC mode - Press and hold the MFD Info button, then turn the headlights on and off three times to enter Maintenance mode; release Info button - Press “Menu” (on screen) - Press “Display Check” - Press “Vehicle Signal Check” - the battery voltage is shown and should be about 12.4 to 12.8 Volts (normal for an unloaded battery) - Again without brake pedal, press Power button and release to put a current load on the battery - the voltage should stay above 12.0V (if less than 12.0V the battery is not well, or there is a fault or unusual load somewhere) - Press brake pedal and press Power button once to enter "Ready" mode - the battery is now charging at about 14V (if less than 13.6V or more than 14.4 there may be a problem with the charging circuit) - Turn car OFF to leave Maintenance mode

  22. When was the last time you changed the CVT oil?. In this type of transmission you don't feel the changing of gears like you said. The transmission is infinitely variable. Hence the term continuously variable transmission. I had the same issue in my Tiida and it was mostly noticeable during stop and go traffic.
  23. Thats some usefull information for a would be hybrid owner. Also do keep us posted about your experience on maintanence and any repairs that you might come come across in the coming years. cheers
  24. I agree with all of your comments except this one. The leg room for the rear passengers in the N16 is horrible.
  25. Why don't you try at Darley road in front of SJC.
