Do you think that only people who bring foreign currency here are the only citizens who help to develop Sri Lanka? All are talking about earning dollars and sending to Sri Lanka and expecting duty concessions for vehicle imports. Sad to say that people forgot the war heroes who scarified their lives for the country. What I feel , before giving duty concessions to the politicians, government officers, foreign currency earners for Sri Lanka, government should give duty concession to get at least motorbikes for children/family who lost their fathers/husbond in armed forces and Police.

How about starting a separate thread for Owners manuals / service manuals? So members can add the links for owners manuals / service manuals. In the same thread, different brands can maintain under separate posts (Toyota , Nissan….). So when someone found a new link he can quote on previous post of the relevant brand. So relevant brand will update automatically. To get the maximum benefit, when you add a link, try to topic mention as “Brand-Model-Model code if available –Year if available” Example: Mitsubishi Lancer CS3 2008 www……………com So if someone need to check for the owner’s manual / service manual of a particular model , he should read the thread end to beginning as most updated post is in the last. Second option Also same way , we can start separate threads for separate brands (I mean separate thread for Toyota, separate thread for Mitsubishi … ) but adding new links should be the same way as I suggested above. Yes, It was already introduced in India , China and in some other countires. 10 – 12 years ago only very few car models we could see on Indian roads , Ambassador, Maruti 800, Maruti Esteem, Premier Padmini, Tata Indica, Daewoo Matiz, ect. Tata Safari , Tata Sumo , Mahindra were the only SUV we could see there. Somewhere around year 2000 , Toyota entered in to Indian market with their SUV ,Toyota Quails. Never could find any vehicle with Automatic transmission except very few Japanese vehicles belonged to diplomats. Machan, Once I washed my previous Jap Alto in rainy season and kept in the garage for about 2 weeks without using it. I Also kept hand break on. After 2 weeks when I started the car, rear 2 wheels were bound and car started to drag without rear wheels rotating. So I took rear wheels out and gently knocked by a hammer on drum cover and then it became ok. But I don't think so it will happen for large cars.

At service point I always stay with my vehicle and check new oil filter before fixing it and also keep eye on adding new oil . That is the only way I can belive. I don't belive the good and famous names of the service points.

Let me add some thing. Don't know much about Vios. My neighbor has a brand new Corolla 141 (YOM 2011) Automatic Transmission and it has the function which shows the fuel economy in digital display (average fuel economy for last 100km). Some times I have seen it is over 10km per liter even in city running.
