to add to the list, there were questions asked in the forum about hybrids whether they're of any good in Sri Lankan context and the response from majority of petrolheads were it's a risk to buy used hybrids which may be an unknown devil in this terrain and in local context. Despite all these warnings some people decided on hybrids by only considering the less initial investment (say less than 3.0 mil when it started) and fuel figures.
Not even week later, a hybrid owner pops up asking for help for maintenance, I mean how can forum members help when the whole hybrid thing is completely new to local context and there's hardly a local garage takes care of hybrid repairs except the agent, and that post would've got replies with the meaning, I TOLD YOU SO.
Further, so called hybrid promotors were up for no good in helping about maintenance coz they themselves don't know anything other than just blindly promoting hybrids. I pretty much doubt the car sales guys with hundreds of hybrids stacked up in their premises are up to this.
