    The rear refina? That's not a sticker, those are badges If you are talking about the side sticker near the rear door, it has a different font that the trunk refina font... it seems like its out of place but it's the way it is actually... It was hard to paste them anyway, it sticks on the hand :s

    Ok so as requested by many, here are the pics of my New Presea... bought this in january and did a full restoration (both interior and exterior) and replaced all faded parts with new parts etc... The restoration steps and everything, I will update in my restoration blog and will post the link one's proper pics are taken from a good camera.. This is a 99 model, 2003 imported one with auto transmission.. Restoration completed today!

      I called doctor auto.. they said given the interior situation either they will remove it and wash it or keep it and wash it (both carpet and seats)..if removed they take more than a day.. Will be going there tomorrow.. quoted me 7.5max if removed if not 5.5k..seems fair.. have you got stuff done by them ?

      DONE! Did it from automiraj - pepiliyana...6500/- All seats, roof, carpets and full interior clean.. satisfied to my expectation... Thanks hoonigan for advising on not to go with seat covers and do the cleaning..saved me a good 30k

    My beige carpeting is very dirty... Is there any recommended good place to get the entire floor carpeting cleaned and bring them back to good condition?

      @Davy.. I'd like to try, but with my health condition, I cannot bend or stress on the body yet to do any hard work.. I was told to stay put for like that for around 8,10 months... even driving I started 2,3 days back, so DIY's are bit hard to conduct :(

    If I replace the GLASS of my power mirror, still it would work when I press the mirror adjusting button yeah? Or do I have to replace the entire mirror to function properly?

      The mirror is attached to a rotating plastic circle like part, if you can detach the mirror from that and attach the new mirror it'll function as usual. Just make sure not to break any plastic bits when detaching the mirror.

    haha Actually I tried the hydrographic printing for panels in teak which were faded (switch panels in the door) and the results were pretty much good as i got them in the morning today

    The rear of my car seems to be a bit higher from ground level than my previous car.. Can it be due to the Shocks of the rear? Previous car anyway had size 13 tyres whereas this has 14, can it be the cause?

      Yep, the restoration is almost complete.. the paint was finished 2 weeks back.. other things like sound system, replacing old panels, tuneup, service were the things I was doing these days.. only thing left is the cut and polish now which will be done in a weeks time :) all old parts were replaced to look like the car just left the showroom.. the only part I couldnt find was the driver side power mirror beading..

    When you press the OVERDRIVE button and drive, does it consume more fuel? Or is it alright to always have the overdrive on?

      "Pressing" the ODO (overdrive off) button causes your transmission to not shift into top gear. So naturally there will be higher fuel consumption.

      Usage of the ODO button is simple driver's ed. Read up!

      Got it :) the N16 circuits fits the presea too and fixed it and now its fine :)

      Yep :) Actually it worked before too, but even after taking the key out I heard the motor running.. there was a issue in the previous motor- timer, so after replacing the circuit, it was fixed :)

    Found this Kenwood coaxial speaker set for 6k.. Didnt buy it yet coz they said its genuine kenwood, but behind the speaker it says "Made in China".. Doenst this mean its chinese and its not genuine???

    Adding to the list of Asrock, you can also buy a PRESEA R10 (older version) for less than 1 million... However I saw a R11 also advertised in that other site for 1mil....96 model...

    GayanR is absolutely right...California scents is the best....I have always been using California scents for my car since the beginning... The laguna breeze is good... California scents has some different good variations... out of them "Cherry Blossom" tops them all... and also the "Citrus" is good.... unfortunately in Sri Lanka they have only the "CAN" version... the can version doesnt give much of an effect... I have been using the spray version and 4,5 shots of the spray lasts for like a week... specially if you smoke in the car this is pretty useful it eliminates odor like magic... you can't purchase the spray version from ebay because liquids are not shipped to Sri Lanka...and the one's they ship, the price is unbelievably high that you wouldnt want to spend it on a car spray... So what I do is i buy from ebay and ship those air freshneres to my friend's addresses in USA and UK when my friends come down they bring it for me.. At once I order like 4,5 cans so that It will have me saved for 6 months or so....you should do the same... but then again nothing wrong in using the can/tin version either but the impact is lower as I said, than the spray version... plus the spray, you can spray it whenever you want.. especially when a lady gets into your car and you want to smell it like a flower garden the spray would come in handy .... This is how I discovered the spray... when i bought my first car, I wanted it to smell good.. so i googled the best car sprays in the world and bought the top one which was 'California Scents' from ebay to try it out and the magic worked... never looked at another spray after that I have got a lot of good feedback from people when they get in my car... They think its my perfume they ask "The car smells really good,what's the perfume you use"

    Managed to put the puppy face and clear an entire Center Panel for my car from customs without a single tax charge, which I bought from Yahoo Auctions :D

      For the item, the proxy site warehouse charge, the domestic shipping charge to the proxy site, and then from warehouse to SL inlcuding the comission, it all costed only Rs. 8000/- .... in SL I couldnt find this panel, and those who had said i have to buy the entire dashboard if I want it..at the customs they didnt tax me..

      no I don't do DIY... I did a lot of DIY's to my last car and f**ked it up real bad and learned it the hard way, so this time I'm going to give it to a professional to do a better job :D

    in the rmv site, it says, if we are going through a colour change or particular change in the vehicle, and if the vehicle is english numbers, we need to show the VIC... is that correct? or is it outdated info? well, even for my previous car I didnt recieve a VIC, and even for this new car I only received a copy of the VIC... ... or for the colour change also only the registration book is needed?
