CY1 - 1600CC engine (4A92) CY2 - 1500CC engine (4A91) CY3 - 1800CC engine (4B10) CY4 - 2000CC engine (4B11) AFAIK we have 2 CY4 Lancers in Sri Lanka (Lancer GT, imported BN by the agent. There is an unknown number of JDM Galant Fortis Lancers which I believe either CY3 or CY4. Most common model in Sri Lanka is CY2 (Imported 2007-2011), Lancers imported post-2011 (2012-2015) are CY1.).

Automatically switch on car horn and lights
Hyaenidae replied to Nandunwitarana's question in Electrical problems
Is it still happening? Your neighbours must be helluva annoyed if that's the case, and you might have a flat battery by tommorrow morning... you may have to disconnect the negative terminal from the 12v battery. Do you have any aftermarket security gizmos installed? Sent from my Nokia 1100 using AutoLanka.com mobile app powered by Tapatalk -
Yep applying that 303 rubber conditioner thingy seems to solve the issue.

Since you don't know how much the replacement engine has been run it's kind of risky to go for a recon engine innit? That engine too might need a rebuilding sooner than you think. That's another 45k on top of the 45k you paid for the engine... going for a replacement engine would be cheaper if the replacement engine is already fully rebuilt, I doubt they'll offer it for 45k if that was the case Sent from my Nokia 1100 using AutoLanka.com mobile app powered by Tapatalk

I see a couple of cars advertised on quick site, search for axio 161 Sent from my Nokia 1100 using AutoLanka.com mobile app powered by Tapatalk

Yeah, you can find a 2013-2014ish 1st owner non-hybrid axio for 4.5-4.7mil, pay 7k to Toyota Lanka and get it inspected, then get a comprehensive maintenance service done, that'll cost you close to 60-70k at the agent I guess, then you'll have 6-7lakhs left in your hand, that'll at least cover the comprehensive insurance premium for the length of your ownership. You'll have a no-nonsense mile cruncher which is reliable than a Vezel or a hybrid Axio and newer and better looked after than a Premio with many previous owners, and you'll save around 7 lakhs at the end - Sounds like a plan to me.
-
Go for the Axio 2015. Grace won't be as reliable as the Axio in the long term with its DCT, and since you're keeping the car for almost 10 years, it makes sense to go for the newest car possible.

...And you happen to have a Vitz for sale amirite

Wish guys at the workshop where I get my car maintained read the AL forum... But anyway, most of the time an oil burning engine can be overhauled to perfection - if Maz*a Motors didn't give you a plausible explanation for why the engine cannot be fixed, you might want to take a second opinion from someplace else. Here's a thread you might find useful:

Almost everyone who did the sludge cleaning had to do it again after some time as this was an issue of the piston design of the engine AFAIK.

Congratulations As for porting, you'll have to copy paste posts one by one... or you can screenshot the 4 pages and post 'em here (or in a separate thread, like this:

Ahh, sorry for the brainfart... totally forgot non-hybrid Vezels ? It's a Sri Lankan thing non-hybrid Vezels are next to non-existent around here so the first thing that pops into mind when someone mentions the Vezel is - DCT!
-
Isn't it too early to get stoned I see you've been watching euro NCAP tests for the Celerio - that's not the Celerio offered in Sri Lanka. Rear passengers are much comfier in a Viva, it has a smooth automatic gearbox compared to Celerios jerky AMT gearbox which doesn't inspire confidence in driving or the longevity of the vehicle, it handles better than a Celerio and overall fit and finish is leaps and bounds ahead when it's compared to Celerios which have panel inconsistencies out of the factory!
-
Well the Civic was never offered with a DCT regardless of the engine choice Sent from my Nokia 1100 using AutoLanka.com mobile app powered by Tapatalk

Is it CVT? I don't see any mention of a chang e of the transmission. It could still be a DCT. Sent from my Nokia 1100 using AutoLanka.com mobile app powered by Tapatalk

Is buying a Honda Vezel for personal use wise decision?
Hyaenidae replied to Buddhi_1's question in Car Buying Information
Emios is that you? Anyway, that's for a used engine - (which you have nary any idea of the condition it is in...) plus the engine isn't the only costly part that could get effed due to abuse, and one cannot rule out possible accident damage and shoddy repair jobs- 34 replies

Unless they weren't driven on bad roads full of potholes at low speeds... there was this vezel that used to throw out a "Transmission overheating" warning at least once every three times it was driven on this particular potholed road that was about 4-5kms long. It was sold at 40k kms.- 34 replies
