Can 6 people ride in an allion or premio
Hyaenidae replied to hustlehard's topic in General Automotive
If you're planning a one-off trip, it's fine, you can manage 4 people in the back. If you're planning to buy a vehicle for a family of 6, NO, Premio isn't the vehicle you're looking for.- 35 replies

Any particular reason not to get the full service from UNIMO too? After the engine wash incident and threatening a customer with violence I thought people would avoid autom**aj like the plague

Brake pedal is softer than before
Hyaenidae replied to ChamaraHarry's question in Mechanical problems
Refer to your users manual and find the values for brake pedal free play and pedal-to-floor clearance when fully depressed. I don't think hybrid hub folk have that kind of information, just the gut feeling Here's how to measure it: (pedal reserve distance = pedal-to-floor clearance) Your users manual will list the values like this (differs from car to car so refer to your own users manual, this is how mine lists the specs) -

? Love the pics... thanks for sharing! The fog light buttons on the center console, is it from the factory? Aren't the fog lights controlled by the stalk?- 233 replies

It would be great if they made the 121 and 240 too just for the SL market. Those are the "Deadpools" of the Toyota lineup - you just can't kill them even if you wanted to. I think the obsession for the Vitz and the Allion and Premio too stems up from their reliability
-
Yes you can't throw a Premio around like an aqua. Maybe because it is has a weight advantage + an electric motor to assist the engine
-
And I just wanted to make a joke ? But judging by the comments it's the normal behaviour of this particular CVT box.
-
Turns out, bugger had taken a friend's Civic for a ride and when he started driving his Allion again he felt the car is super slow. /s

I think the Premio comes with an electronic throttle control from the factory, AFAIK vehicles don't come with accelerator cables anymore
-
Consumables for the Emgrand were super cheap at the agent, IIRC a genuine oil filter cost less than Rs.1000, whereas mine cost 2273.00
-
Kyron too? Oh man.. I had the chance to drive a Geely Emgrand on a long journey recently and was quite impressed with what it offered for the price of it (3.1mil brand new!) The drive was enjoyable too. Steering was nice and meaty with minimal body roll compared to an Axio.

A daily runner between 3.5-4.5 Mil with low maintenance
Hyaenidae replied to Red85's question in Car Buying Information
{Obligatory "Lancer owner so I may be biased" disclaimer} About the Lancer EX, there's no problem with parts availability, the agent has workshops islandwide and is able to provide spare parts on demand - recon parts are also available. I always manage to run 350+kms just as the the fuel level hits half point. It is also resilient since it's customized at the factory for harsh local conditions (conventional auto transmission instead of CVT, high-ground clearance suspension, underbody covers etc) so if the routine maintenance has been done in a timely manner I don't think having run 150k kms is much of an issue (besides, they were imported brand new and maintained by the agent atleast in the warranty period so I think a Lancer has a better chance of faring better in the long run than a similarly aged Premio) -

If the duh sound is heard only when you shift from P to D, try shifting to N and applying the hand-brake before shifting to P when parking. Even if that solves the problem you should change your ATF.

ATF is supposed to be changed every 40,000km so if the previous owner did an ATF change before the sale your car is due for an ATF change. If the previous owner didn't do it then it's overdue.
