Suzuki Swift 2011 Auto Gear Issue

One of my friend imported Swift 2011 model directly from Japan few months back. From last week there was an issue with the gear box. When put the gear to D car is not moving. But the revere is working. He asked from few mechanics and they doesn't tell any reason for this. The A*W said we need to replaced the gear box. Please let me know the possibilities for this kind of issue and a good mechanic...

For a gear box..??!!! WTF... it's more costlier than a German..

I'm sure it cannot be a total failure.. you may need to find someone who is willing to take it apart and inspect it.

He showed the car to few mechanics. But none of them are trying to fix it. they are telling some nonsense. It should not be an issue with the gear box. Coz mileage is still about 50000km. Do u guys have an idea of a good mechanic???
