While the HFP(Facorty Performance Kit) kit's $4K price tag sounds steep, we feel that it's actually a bargain. Should you try to hook your Civic up with similar non-Honda aftermarket pieces, the cost of the non-Honda components will be about the same, only the aftermarket stuff won't have Honda's reliability, fit or warranty.

We'd recommend the HFP kit to anyone that is even remotely interested in it. You can never go wrong with factory-engineered performance -- especially if that factory is Honda. Before you accuse us of being blind Honda fanboys, remember that Honda knows a thing or two about performance -- it is the sole engine supplier for the IRL, after all.

For you non-Si owners that want a bit of HFP flavor -- don't fret. Honda makes an HFP kit for the LX and EX Civics as well, so those cars can now look fast too.
