randikatn
CVT gear boxes are problematic if you don't do proper maintenance. It should replace the CVT oil once in 20,000 Kms and you have to be very careful when you select CVT oils. There was a post generated by me 2 or 3 months ago regarding vibration issue in my Honda fit aria car. It has been solved by replacing the correct CVT Oil. It cost Rs 2000.00 per liter in Colombo but I found for Rs 980.00 in Kurunegala. If you plan to buy a car with a CVT gearbox, it's better you have a test drive with an expert and ask for maintenance record. Check whether is there any vibration with first pickup. I think CVT is a good technology which has more performance than the normal Auto. Don't use oil exchanger to change CVT oils and don't use ATF oil too. I replaced CVT oil in a garage......no problems at all.

randikatn
Allion 260 also comes with CVT. Honda Fit aria/City famous for CVTs bcoz they came to sri lanka market around 2005. I saw 260 allion (KL no) in a garage with completely damaged cvt gear box caused by incompatible transmission oil filled by a service station. And also they used oil exchanger to change the oil. milano340
The Lancers also do have CVT boxes and use the INVECS-III boxes, There are certain models that have had a repair kit announced by the Manufacturer, Changing the oil is one thing, Knowing how to drive a CVT is also what someone should be aware of since these gearboxes are adaptive http://www.mitsubishi-motors.com/corporate/about_us/technology/performance/e/invecs3.html
