actually I'm talking about this... This is my Shifter..

I think when you driving in 3 (Without OD) you driving in different gear ratios. i have observe this in my car. when it's in D (With OD), Transmission shifts quicker to next gear and when it's in 3 (Without OD) takes more RPMs to shift to next gear. imagine when you drive your car in stop and go traffic and your Transmission keeps on shifting around 1 and 2 constantly (Guess it's bad for the Transmission). well let's ask from Maithri about this matter. maybe he's got a good explanation than us.

Well even i found out that later on. apparently it was the correct way. if the vehicle equip without an OD switch and got D 3 2 and L and lets say that your driving your car in heavy traffic it is said to be drive in 3. if not the gear box will not last long with the mechanical stress you put on with constant change of gears while its on D (With Overdrive). for vehicles with OD switch, you should always turned it off driving in heavy traffic. this is the correct way of driving with an ECT type Autoboxes. no idea how this works with CVT trannys. and about Toyota ECT trannys. you should always use TYPE T-IV oil or Mobil ATF 3309

I have no faith in these things. if these things really works, why not the Vehicle manufactures put this thing inside their vehicles!! (Common they're spending huge some of money on R&D on how to reduce fuel consumption : Take note those hybrid vehicles..!!)

If I'm not mistaken. Tyre specification indicated on driver sides door pillar. i guess it's common among most of the brands.

i experienced similar thing as well.. i had to replace brake pads on my car.. when the Mech. guy remove the pads and jiggle the caliper pins, it was rattling like hell.. so the Mech. guy was recommends to lathe it.. i went totally against it. cos we did the same thing to our Van (CR 27) it lasts like 8000 Kms after refill an lathe. went around Delkanda Area found the Entire Hub for 6000/- a piece (Brand new Brake pad set at Agents were 12,000/-) this contains almost new Pads, Disc and Caliper pins. got good results thanks to the cheap Recon parts.. lathe work doesn't work always because in lathe we are filling entire different metal into existing metal. there is a small difference between both so it tends to wear bit higher than the original Metal that existed.

Brasso would work. but you need to remove the Front lens cover of The Gauge Cluster. be very very careful cos this plastic lens is easily breakable. so use slight force when you dealing with brasso on this. I've tried this method on my Gauge cluster after some Stupid** at some Cleaning joint (While i was away) use STP or some cleaning liquid on it. got good results! get rid of small scratches too. (PS: if your not familiar with this kinda stuff leave it to some professional to take care of it. there's a place at Delkanda [Delux Auto Lamp or something] they usually do these kinda stuff. don't be surprise if the guy there quoting some unusual prices though)

Worse thing is most of the JDM Owners/Service manuals are in Japanese Language.. try this New Zealand Web site. they got some Translated Owners/Service Manuals. but it's not free..

Yeah i saw just same for Reducing the Electricity bill by just 30/- rupees.. and the folks talking like it reduced by 30%..

Kumaras, why don't you go for Iridium Plugs. those will last for like 50,000 - 60,000 Kms. bet there is a different part number for Iridium s for Hondas. you better check that with Stafford Motors
