Alos not fo doing any repair and tune up go back to first place where the Issue originally happen. it was DB oil seal.other wise you will be sepnding more money for trail and error method, try to replace with a another DB unit and see the difference, removing DB is very easy job.

Hi I'm not a very much familiar with Honda and I had exactly the same issue with my Nissan FB 13 after repaired by Oil leak on the Distributor unit.One guy in Nissan agents told me cannot guarantee the DB repair as it very sensitive unit. finally I did the repair it was malfunctioned. the MAKA bas finally changed the position of the BD unit , not sure advance or redert, pulling power is reduced by 50%. I had to replaced the Total DB unit to get my car back to normal. the issue was the current is not sufficent to burn the fuel after dismantle and assemble to DB unit.

thanks for your reply, i think the radiator fan of your car is not good. i have checked few of my friends who using EK3 JDM and lots of them said they have modified the AC with biggher condenser and it dose not affect other engine systems. how ever i spoke to Honda agents and they aslo said they have modified with the biggher Condenser, but dont know the coolant switch wire go ECU or not ,before the EK3 i had nissan FB13 and that car idle speed will changed doring cooland circulation.

Dear All This question is related with my previous question of AC condenser fan. My EK3 had a modification for the AC unit with bigger condenser. The radiator fan also modified with grounding the coolant temperature switch with relay circuit. When the AC is on the coolant temperature switch short with ground and both fans start working. and if the AC is off, and the Thermostat on the radiator fan start working.no issue My question is , is this modification send the signal to ECU unit as soon as I switch on the AC? witll the ECU thinks the coolant circulation across the engine?. as far as I’m aware when the coolant start circulation thro engine the idle speed also will increased. any way AC is on then also idle Speed will be incresed. If this signal not going in to ECU then no issue. I ‘m having 98-00 Service manual for civic which is USA model(I don’t have Asian model). And it says it goes to ECU see the attachment. Hi guys when i ground the Coolant tempture switch said above call temp sensor , will that signal go to ECU unit? Sira

Thank for your reply. I've noticed that the AC compressor power gose to aditional really which is fixed in right hand side of the body. it was local modification. what that relay do is get the compressor power and ground the tempture sensor,then radiator fan start working. is this way corect? as soon as we on the AC, the signal will go to ECU saying engine is hot? please advice me sira

Dear All My Honda Civic EK3 car had 2 separate fans for AC condenser and Radiator unit. How ever due to poor cooling of the AC unit, the front AC condenser was replaced with bigger unit. The new condenser is bit a wide than the old unit and the AC condenser fan should be cooling ¾ of total condenser unit. So when I look this I noticed that the radiator fan also can help to cool AC condenser. If I join radiator fan with AC condenser fan, will it become an issue with engine performance or electrical? I had Nissan FB 13 some time ago and it use both fans for AC and Radiator unit. and is there is no AC unit working the both fan utilize for cooling Main radiator, Your comments are most welcome sira

Hi all I installed JVC Audio set in to my EK3 car and conect the arial correctly.how ever the FM channels receptions is very poor. the audio system was on my old car - nissan FB 13 and it was working perfectly finally i open the hood antina unit and noticed the cable is comming from the audio system to arial is very thin ,will this affect to reception? Most of rear speakers (on boot) are damadged due to direct sunlight also heat.there are some sony speakers which is made specilly cars comes with alumenium cone and those are bit a durable. may be thease are expencive.

Thanks for your comments, yes, my car got one sensor for intake . thats call map sensor. no Lamda sensor.how ever i spoke to Agents and they said it is true that they have not ordered 98 model with O2 sensor coz that time emmission controll was not in Sri lanka, and nothing to worry about it. also i checked with my Repair men and he said this got 3 stage catalytic converter.

Hi Finally i Brought Honda Civic EXi. imported as a Brand new in 1998. I have found few things on this car 1. There is no Oxygen sensor - I was asked the agent said brand new model dose not have that and it got 3 way catalytic converter 2. No ABS and Air bag Do you have any idea of this? why it dose not have those options? Have they not ordered ? Let me see your views Sira

Friend i had FB13 and used for a 6 years time.few weeks ago i sold it. yes. the fuel consumption will be 8,9 KM per liter.if you tune up with professional person you will get at least 11 Km -12. this model got electronic carb and must not messed up. go for Nissan agents and get it tuned up sira

Hi all One my friend got FB 14 car YOM 1995. Due to electricle issue the engine room totally burned. finally he managed to replaced the whole engine but he couldent find wireharness for the engine components and others such as starter moter, lights power windows....etc. so, my dear friends, what you suggest me to fix his car? we tried the wire harness couldent find the excat one. Hi It should have rear seat head rest, Fog lights and the AC controller pannel should be buttons not lever.also power antena. tractable mirrors too.not sure 1991 only year make. but some of them in 1992 got 2 line on buffer and (rear and front) Sira

Hi All I got Nissan FB 13 With GA15DS(1500cc) engine and it got a carburettor. 6 years ago I did the engine tune up with the agents. Now I have done around 35000 Km and to me the fuel consumption is bit a bad. I Changed air cleaner and spark plugs, not big difference looking for repair the carburettor by my own. I have repair/clean my bike carb (GS125) and it is simple to me. But the car carb is very complicated. Any way I have the my car service manual (1300CC) and and I carb diagram also there.and parts list How ever it was belongs to 1300CC car. Looks there is no big difference. It is big job to clean carb? My technician is asking 6000 for his labour charge only.he is working in agents and to me, he is a carb genius. He is the one who cleaned my carb 6 years ago. How ever if I open the carb do I need to replace inlet manifold gasket and carb packing? Please advice me I’m happy to do this operation by my own. What you think? Will it be a big job for me Your advices are most welcome Thanks Sira

Hi Guys What is the best CV joint for FB 13 car- Petrol .Nissan Agents price is 29,000 for CV joint. if you buy boot separtly the cost is 6,000 anyway CV joint comes with boot for a 29,000. it is big money for me and any body know good CV joint for this car. thanks Sira

Hi all, Recently i replaced my FB 13 doors in to Powered doors. I have found wires for front 2 doors and it is now working. before that i plug the breaker for power window 12V from battery to have power supply to doors too. front 2 dors are working fantastic and all function are ok. the issue is i cannot find wires for rear doors. i checked with my friends car it got wires for rear doors. how ever i contact one auto electrical person and he said there will be harnes loop and you will be able to find but you have to draw cable for rear door as it is not inyour car. is anybody know the place that i can find that loop in the power window main harnes thanks sira
