To solve problems in congested areas -improve public transportation - get all the busses sitting in in depots to run and control overloading with heavy fines, also make sure tickets are issued and taxes are paid on those tickets. -charge a fee(toll) for entering congested areas (cities) and give a concession for multiple passenger vehicles -enforce traffic laws - this is hard with our "men in khakis" -least but not least, fire this ricking fartard and get him to ride the bus for a change. I was taught as an engineer to find solutions to make life better for people around you. Especially the people who can't help themselves. but what do I know, compared to the guy from the RDA...

IS there any point of contesting the charge (proly not) by saying its only 7mph over and could have been an error in the gun. looking at the pics, u might be better of taking a boat ride from the lagoon then again with all these floods, the chances of you repeating your offence is pretty slim Just dont drive on flooded roads!

I vacationed at summerville and toured some of the other bungalows and tea factories in 03 and honeymooned again a few years later in another estate bungalow (dont remember the name). when I went back, tea trails were converting the old colonial bongalows into highend guest houses/b&bs. I think the going rate was 100-200$ but the prices have dropped since then. You can get the cabanas at Eagles's ridge? for much cheaper but not much in the way of amenities just a pool made from blocking a small waterfall. but amazing views. I got to hangout with some cool guys at the planter's club (man those guys can consume) and was given a few highspeed rides on the curvey roads in the middle of the night (I wont recomend it with anyone other than someone who lives and drives there often). I have to say that I got better service there than at any other 5star hotel. My wife and I were treated so well, I would recomend it for families and couples. Those Appu's can teach a thing or two to some hospitality managers in our hotels and so-called cheffs. Just make sure to treat them right, like fellow humans and leave a big tip (cos I dont think they get paid a lot). I have been kinda selfish about this and havent told many ppl or posted pics cos I dont want it ruined like most other SL tourist destinations. A projector has a clearly defined focal point (f) and symetry unlike ur stock housing. All those small and irregular surfaces simply scatter the light in all different directions. When a light source is properly used in the focal point of a projector, you will acheive optimal lighting below the cutoff line. IMHO using a hid in a regular housing is like getting a mercury bulb attached to your hood...lots of lumens going in all directions (good for an aappa kadey) if your opting for a HID conversion and wanna source parts from ebay, I would suggest TL or E46 projectors and philips D# bulbs and the appropriate ballasts. goto hidplanet and get the part numbers then goto ebay and try to find them cheaper. maxima org has a bunch of guys who have retrofitted TL projectors. You will find some good writeups. I however hate the OEM TL aiming cos they're aimed a lil too high. Most ppl who have had acura TL hids oncoming at night will agree with me that someone needs to regulate them. Until then, I just let them feel my highs...maybe they'll go and get them aimed lower

I have driven from Nuwara eliya to bandarawela (to the monestary - name?) lots of nice scceneries and elevation changes. Also the road from Alpitiya? to rathnapura? at least thats what I remember, it was 10-15 yrs ago.. There are some nice places in hatton around the bogawanthalawa plantations, sadly I was driven around my parents talk about drives in ampara and hingurana but sadly I've never been anywhere near that. how about a top-ten list? maybe the AL members can do a wknd drive. kind of a slow-bullrun. I would even suggest Feb 08 for the event, I heard the weather is gonna be good around that time

I have been looking for brighter lights for my maxima for ages and most of the effective solutions are expensive or labor intensive. I try not to drive it at night The really cost effective solution I have found is the 9004/9007 upgrade. I can send more info for you nissan guys if you need. just a few pointers; For the E39, DONT go with jimmy540i xenons just keep in mind when upgrading bulbs; u will need to upgrade the harness and maybe the relay when you almost double the wattage. or u could be smart and just put a bigger fuse also look for the light output (lumens) if u can find it. I can take a 55W bulb and put a resistor in parallel and make it a 110W bulb, but it doesnt mean it gives out twice the amount of light. All that means is that it draws twice as much current and the remaining 55W are spent as heat. and PLEASE DONT use HIDs in non-projector housings(w/shrouds). The light simply glares oncoming traffic and serves very little purpose.

yes you can. Fundamentally they're the same (most common stand-alone home speakers). You need to make sure the impedance is not less than 4Ω (for most car stereos). Diff is, when u double the Imp to 8Ω, then the current thru the coil is halved [V=IR or V=IZ (Z=Imp)]. Which means the magnetic fld generated is half as powerful. Therefore the diaphram/cone moves half as much. IF you really want to reach the full range of motion for the speaker, then put 2 speakers in parallel to half the Imp. Just make sure not to go below 4Ω which allows more current to be drawn from the amplifier ckt.

if ur friend left a window cracked open or ran the AC when the relative humidity was high, then there might be some condensation on the under side of the central-lock panel on the Dr-side door. take the panel apart, dry it with a hair dryer and apply some contact-grease if he can find some. If its not that then next option if the Relay. There has to me water energizing the relay-coil. This is common if the Relay is mounted upside down. hope this helps

it was another sad accident and what's even more sad is that nothing will change. In most developed countries, 23 ppl burning alive would call for drastic measure as well as harsh and effective punishments to prevent such incidents. In SL, we will talk about it for day or two and then tune into the SL/NZ match. Life is so cheap in SL and expendable. Atleast in this forum we can ask some questions and try to get some answers. and now for CSI-SL: 1.was it a diesel bus? how did it catch fire that fast? (fuel came into contact with hot exhaust pipe?) 2.sadly all exits were blocked after the bus rolled over. This is the very same reason that busses (esp school busses) have rear ext doors and even roof hatches. It wont take much effort to retrofit the busses with such emergency exts (it will be worth saving at least a few more lives). We should engineer ways to make our ageing busses safer and more efficient cos it will take a miracle to get our cops and drivers to abide the law. Chances are, these freak accidents will still occur (less often) even if our cops were doing their jobs and the truck drivers gave a crap about others. IF the truck driver was at fault, the victims (and families) need to go after the trucking company and not just the driver. They should even look into if any businesses that used the trucking company had any knowledge that the trucking company had any previous incidents, safety violations etc. If so, they should be made public, esp if the clients of the trucking company are big MNCs then make these gruesome tales available to their clents overseas..... (EDIT* didnt know the company was LBO at the time I wrote this) or maybe I should stop and we should all get ready for the match....

I would reconsider lowering it if I were u. I cant stand the sick feeling in my stomach every time I go over a bump and feel the thud. I have been hit going over diagonally (one wheel at a time). Atleast in the US, bumps heights on public roads are regulated but its anyone's guess in private lots (apartments, shopping malls etc). though the sports pkg makes u feel like the car is on rails at 100mph, it comes at a very heavy price. About a month ago, I went over a drop and hit the tranny longitudinally. to make a long story short, its still in the shop. All the major components are fixed just getting the cosmetics done. other than that, love the color on ur car. M wheels would look nice but not without the Mtech bumpers. what engine does it have? and what type of a cooling fan does it come with? mech/electrical?
