I presume you're thinking of a cheapo 'smart' phone? Honestly I dont think you need to go the ebay-way especially considering we all know someone or the other going to Singapore or the UK or dubai and can hand-carry a decent branded phone for us. It's not worth the risk if u ask me...

How is (165/70/13) and (185/70/13) different in circumference / diameter? edit: I just used your calculatror and i'm seriously baffled on how it's possible. My grade 7 maths says that the diameter and circumference is purely based on radius which is (RimDiameter/2 + tyreHeight)

Seems OK considering you're just using a wider baloon size. Just make sure the balloon size (165 or 185) on the front doesn't exceed the stock size cos it could result in the tyre rubbing against the wheel-well on full steering lock. Currently your bigger tyres are at the back, so should be all-right IMO.

I do agree with you on the fact that these are probably THE MOST legit looking gang in Sri Lanka trying something in this field unlike the water-engine-dude and the electric-wind-turbine-car-kid. But in an industry where even aluminium is ditched for lighter materials such as CF, do you think a steel-tube-chassis can cut it? In my opinion rather than having a go at Lamborghini or Buggati, they should focus on a metric that's probably easier to achieve. Maybe electric kit-cars (sports cars like the lotus 7). You're not expected or required to be the pinnacle of performance nor technology but rather someone who makes it more accessible to the common man. And it's a market where consumers too are more forgiving towards newbie-design-shortfalls than a design error on a ferrari or a mercedes. Just my 2 cents.

I'm not a mechanical or electrical engineer, but it just doesnt seem realistic. Building a petrol burning car to reach the benchmarks they have set themselves is a challenge in itself. But to do it in an electric car the idea even crazier.

haha you're doing it again! Did you think the mods (and the rest of us) are camels?

#1 "Manually" Controlling the tempreature is a mere case of turning the fan speed knob a notch or 2. You DONT need to control the "Cool level". I presume you're referring to the Hot-Warm-Cold Knob. And You dont to this every 30 seconds. At most once or twice a hour. Does it really distract you THAT much to reach for a knob which is always in the corner of your eye? #2 The resale value may go up a bit, but think of the cost of BUYING all the new components and LABOUR of fixing it? Will you make more money in the end? Really? #3 Removing a perfectly good dashboard is asking for trouble. The moment you remove it and refix it (even if its the same dash) it is VERY likely that it wont be fitted to factory specs. There'l be a loose screw or a unset beading resulting squeeks and rattles everytime you drive on a uneven surface. #4 You will NOT save fuel. There's a misconception among some people that if you have the blower at speed-1 you burn less petrol than at speed-4. WRONG. Whenever the A/C Compressor is engaged (irrespective of blower speed) there is a load on the engine. So you're better off over-chilling the cabin and then turning off the AC completely. But then again, you say that you arent physically skilled enough to do that. In the end you're more likely to loose money rectifying future complications arising from your handy work. So don't expect economical benefits from this project. And if you feel you are incapable of turning the AC knob safely ask your passenger to do so. Or ask someone else to drive the car for you while you sit in the passenger seat and control the AC knob. Or save yourslef the hassle, sell the car and buy one WITH climate control.

If you dont use it much why didnt you get a normal ICE car. It doesn't make any sense to buy a car that beneficial with high usage if you DONT have high usage. Did your neighbor buy a hybrid few weeks before you did??

Valuable comments are added only on valuable threads. SO why dont you tone it down, or STFU

Sri Lankan Second Hand Vehicle Market Comparison
Watchman replied to sathyajithj99's question in Car Buying Information
geeez!! How much more immature can this get!! You cant rank a brand popularity so blatantly. It's very model specific. Example There are probably more fiat puntos than MItsubithe GTOs. Does that mean fiat is 'ranked' higher? Geez!!! -
Current 2Nd Hand Car Market & Future
Watchman replied to Luckyj's question in Car Buying Information
These "2nd hand car price" threads have never been of any use, until now. This thread had some really good posts with actual economical and intellectual depth! Kudos on that guys and not making this all about "X grade is expensive because it has climate control, G grade has tachometer P grade has push button" -
I'm sure you already know that advertising on the forum is not allowed. And furthermore it's not cool! You're asking for trouble if you're doing it intentionally. We'll leave it to the Joint Mods to decide.

Daam.... My next question is WHO is in all those vehicles. Say each vehicle has 5 people, we're looking at at least 100 people. Leave aside his personal guards, are there that many people jobless enough to just follow a politician everywhere he goes with no clear objective.

If you get it when the car is stationary it could be a loose fan belt or a worn out pully bearing. If you get it only when moving i would check if your wheels are properly attached first. If not that test the suspension linkages etc .

I had heard of the influx of defenders in Uva, but didnt think it could be that serious. Now I see what it was all about :/ Btw, did this guy win? When I was a kid, I loved the defender and always wanted to own one. Now I dont think I'll buy one even if I can afford it. Thanks to low-life politicians, if you're driving a Defender people automatically think your a douchebag.

AFAIK, if you've already opened your LC before the tax change/increase, it doesn't apply to you. So you might not need to worry about the budget. But uncertain delivery time can be a buzzkill. I dont think either of the agents are 5-star agents. So you might as well save ur money by getting the cheaper car and saving the 3 lakhs for future repairs. Anyway parts are gonna be covered under warrenty, and (touch wood) the only thing you would have to goto the agent for is the servicing. And I would anyway take my car to a mazda specialist for repairs than the agent. Note that I do not own a mazda nor do I have experience with either agent. I'm purely weighing the pros and cons on paper.

The file seems to be corrupted and I cant here it. But Kudos on taking the effort to record it, which would help people better advise you!

Here you go: The green arrow shows the thick layer of cataloy while the blue arrow shows the bare metal. Now my question (again): Do you think THAT is the best way to achieve the groove? Wouldn't a good workman achieve this groove by shaping the metal itself?
