  1. Not really, it's supposed to be for the life time of the vehicle. The owner's manual does not indicate transmission fluid changes anywhere. There's almost no oil in it. Check out youtube for videos where they take apart the HSD. Less than half a litre of lube will spill out. The earlier HSDs used a chain, which required lube. But mine uses direct drive all the way, and the majority of the reduction is done by the motors, themselves maintenance free.
  2. This isn't a constructive post, apart from the typical Sri Lankan blaming of the government for their policies. The status update in your profile is for nonsense like this. Please leverage it.
  3. Private companies earn money from abroad. They bring in foreign exchange. Without that we wouldn't have an economy to speak of.
  4. Toyota Sera on another site, looks stock right down to the wheels. Drooling because rare car and those doors.

  5. It is the Corolla with the new front end and rear lights.
  6. Yes. eCVT is just the name given to the Toyota HSD. There isn't a gearbox, just a motor coupled to the wheels which may or may not be driven by the engine. It is the quintessential variable transmission.
  7. I imported a pot of soft99 wax formulated for dark paint jobs. I still need to invest in a pressure washer so that i can wash the car quickly.
  8. Damn, that is a gorgeous car. When I was living in camel land as a wee child, a close friend of my dad's had a Sapporo. I'll forfeit my turn.
  9. Reminds me of a Mitsubishi Sapporo but I don't remember it having opera lights.
  10. Alfa 155 on another site, price is right up my alley. I wish I was brave enough :/

Didn't give him a call yet, because I think an Alfa isn't your typical drive & forget vehicle?

  11. Yup. Your turn.
  12. Pretty sure the red bits are Alcantara (or what passes for it).
  13. Is it a wobble or a grinding sensation? The grinding will mean you'll need to replace the hub racers (replacing both recommended). Also make sure the tire isn't over inflated. If it was a balancing issue, the vibrations would only get worse as you sped up.
  14. Mine is the same. I'm currently looking for an Android head unit to replace the Chinese crap the dealer installed in my car. Buy a new head unit when you can. You will not regret it.
  15. When I'm driving out of Colombo on B roads, yes.
  16. Model: Toyota Axio Hybrid 2015 face lift Manufactured year: July 2015 Engine Capacity : 1500cc Fuel type : Hybrid Transmission Type : eCVT Economy : 22-24 (kmpl) city limits, 26-30 (kmpl) Out stations (Flat road/Highway)
  17. o noes, my hybrid's fuel economy fell to 17.9 km/l. please allow me this opportunity to have a panic attack in typical sri lanka thel higana style.

  18. I crie evry tiem.
  19. All I did was refill the ATF on my Vios at around the 80k mark. I had it still the clock read 98, bought it when it was 54. No major repairs apart from regular wear and tear on suspension related components.
  20. If it's one of the cheaper chinese ones, it will only support regular mpeg videos and VCDs.
  21. I can't find anything in the media regarding the FOB price adjustment in vehicles.

  22. Stay away from anything made by Geely. I'd suggest an A33 vs Primera, A33 all the way, simply because you get more bang for the buck. Manual JDMs with velour (fabric) interior seem to commanding higher prices. A well maintained 406 isn't a bad proposition either.
  23. People who enjoy car detailing are masochists.
