  1. So you saw him replace the filter and then still had doubts? I don't understand. You expected a free fuel filter is it?
  2. double post and null
  3. I asked this in another thread as well, but I might as well ask it here; is the quality of fuel provided by the local filling stations good enough for such a machine? Or....?
  4. Your A/C will cause the idle to vary. In my car, If I'm slowing down to a stop with foot on brake and the A/C cuts out, the car lurches forward due to the load being lightened.
  5. So while I'm listening to my headphones, a female co-worker asks for a pen and I give her one, and she asks how I heard her. I said I can lip read. Now she and her partner are exchanging post it notes. I'm ROFLMAOing inside. And instant messaging is banned on the corporate network. lolz.

  6. I used the pangiri thel and stick trick with mine. Also they have a nice big cozy box I've made out of an old TV carton. They pretty much ignore the car now. You need to fix your cat's habits ASAP, but please don't have it declawed. It's just unnatural.

    Motor Up

I see bottles of the stuff on the shelves at the Teleseen outlet in MC as I make my way to the watch shop next door.
  8. Do we even have the quality of fuel needed to run one of these things?
  9. Do not use Kerosene! Use WD-40 like c1nder suggested. It is a multi-purpose cleaner/solvent which is very popular with anyone who has to get their hands greasy. Buy a can from any reputed hardware shop, and you can use it for other things as well, which you can read on the back of the can, lest I sound like an advertisement.
  10. Any kittens? I'm looking for new additions.
  11. A lot of the Top Gear challenges have been removed and replaced by BBC's own watered down versions. I now hunt down challenge episodes via torrent. A lot less frustration than searching on youtube.
  12. I have a couple of cats for that. Their den is the garage (they know if they get on the car i'll get the stick out), and their food is given to them there as well. Once I came home to find one of them eating a mouse. Srsly, only the tail was visible. Bugger was defensive as hell when I parked the car and tried to go beyond him to the house entrance.
  13. I have changed my Avatar in honor of this thread.
  14. Nice write up. Are you planning on doing the same with your headlights as well?
  15. It's not Kiota, it's Koito. Please get the name correct, there's nothing more harmful to people who know nothing than other people who know only a little. @Sonariz The headlight bulb in your car is an H4 type, which is a dual filament bulb. In your case, one of the filaments is broken. Your tail lights also have dual filament bulbs, so get them checked from time to time too. I would advise strongly to replace both bulbs at once, to maintain even lighting. Avoid buying the blue tipped bulbs at any cost. Stick to brand names like Koito, Hella, and Osram (the most widely available bulbs in SL). I would also advise you to learn how to change the bulbs in your car yourself (they are meant to be replaced by the owner), you can save a trip to the garage in the future. Also, don't discard the old working bulb, keep it in the car for times like this so that you have a temporary fix till you're able to replace it.
  16. Check the fuel feed circuit, it seems to me like your vehicle is suffering from mild vapour lock. Starting immediately once the engine is shutdown, there's still residual pressure in the fuel lines and the fuel hasnt had time to vaporise. But let it sit in the hot engine bay for a few hours and voila, vapor lock. Let it sit even longer, till the following morning, engine bay is cool and everything returns to normal.

    New Car

FB15, Vios and City are you best options. Best bang for buck right now would be the City, you can get a 2006 model for your budget. Paying anything more than 2.2 for an FB15 is silly, unless its one of the last 2004 models to arrive, and even then it should be in exceptional condition. Vios, 99% of them have the leatherette seats, which through neglect are cracked, so seat covers are a must. The The Axela is too exotic compared to the above three, so sourcing spares would require more effort and expense. If you're going for a hatch, consider also the Vitz and IST, but I do believe the Vitz is also becoming overpriced.
  18. A track from Mike Oldfield's Music of the Spheres. Perfect calmness for anyone who teeters on the edge of committing road rage in morning traffic. Purchase of this album is highly recommended. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ul6U1tvs7s
  19. I think we're mostly too casual into gaming to get into that. We really should get into R/C instead.
  20. So tempted to buy that grey Accent. Perfect daily beater.

  21. The Prince of Persia released a few years back. It's actually the 2nd reboot, the 1st being the Sands of Time series but you can't really call it a reboot since it spun off it's own triology. And there's yet another game coming some time soon.
  22. They're called platform games. The Prince of Persia reboot just takes it to a whole new (and wonderful) level.
  23. Get allows alloys with a greater offset. Always better to do a fitment test at the place of purchase before committing to it, lest issues like this arise.
  24. It's a manga which became an anime series, on which the movie is based (but with many alterations). The next anime series starts in November I think.
  25. First BMW Hybrid I've seen on the road (sort of)
