  1. I think he means he observed them attempting to remove the engine, and that he didn't go about inquiring about the root cause of low compression in the engine.
  2. Who knows? Some morons love to throw firecrackers onto the road.
  3. The blue Diablo also made an appearance early into the evening, but I don't know if it did any laps. I missed the entire GT class, when I came out it was the bikes.
  4. I chanced upon this on the way to see Chicane. I was quite literally 10 feet away from the cars. The rest are all videos, including the white CRX losing it's bottom end.
  5. The bugger driving this got told off by the police because he was mucking about inbetween events and nearly ran a lorry off the road.
  6. With the right positioning you could make it look like an extra air intake!
  7. If you're attending the peacock thingy chances are you'll have an ideal perch from which to observe the qualifiers. Otherwise you'll have to walk a fair distance. AFAIK, parking opposite the green is prioritized for the music festival attendees (you must have the ticket with you).
  8. Good one. I have always followed the middle right method.
  9. Yeah it's a thick coating which looks like the contents of a soft center caramel toffee. I have no idea what the additional weight is though.
  10. Definitely worth it. Our van had the TuffKote treatment done by Kleenpark as well, and back in 1998 they gave a 10 year guarantee as well.
  11. How is it that I have a race ticket with a 2000/- denomination then? It says V*P Zone Janadipathi Mw, which I'm sure is the WTC location.
  12. I bought a set of Maxxis for the front of my car, they didn't have the white lettering you guys refer to, or maybe the tire guys put them on the inside (I was chatting with the owner while the golayas were at work). However, I do like what the tires offer, road noise had reduced when going at speed, which was a major issue with the Dunlops the car was wearing previously. I've driven roughly 3000kms on mine now, and have no qualms.
  13. 3000/- tickets are sold out, I couldn't get them even after having reserved them on the 9th. Went to Barefoot today and got the 4000/- combo with the "prime" race seating location, Janadipathi Mw apparently. Barefoot doesn't have individual race tickets anymore, they have the 2000 and 4000 tickets for the music festival and the 4000 race+music tickets. P.S. If you want details, call 0715678326. The lady on the other end can tell you exactly what you need to know.
  14. New trivia, guess the car by it's gauge cluster!
  15. Close to Embuldeniya junc, saw a black B4 get nailed by an army Defender two cars ahead of me. The moral of the story is, when a military vehicle in an obvious hurry pulls up behind you, it is time to pull over ASAP and let it pass like I did, not exercise your right of way on the road. Why? Because you lose either way.

so the defender crashed into the b4 or?

yeah the defender crashed into the B4 trying to overtake it.

    3. CARBON B4

      CARBON B4

There is a very well maintained black B4 in that area, could be that car. What a waste.

  16. Basic motion blur can be achieved on any camera by adjusting your shutter speed. Try it on your digicam in manual mode.
  17. Top Speed: 130Km/h Machine: 2005 Toyota Vios NCP42 (1500 cc) Mods: Matched seat covers with exterior. Road: E01 What prevented you from going further: I don't suffer from microphallus.
  18. When my father drives my car, it only does about 9 because he drives it like a diesel. On ordinary office days, keeping the RPMs at or below 2000 and reducing unnecessary braking thus preserving momentum, I have consistently racked up 10km/l or better. And all it requires is a bit of patience and allowing the rush hour morons (I wish I could share the number plates of the regulars I see on my daily commute) to have their way instead of competing with them.
  19. ADSL and PeoTV has been extremely crappy since Thursday night.

Yep SLT is having some server issues as i believe, some of the servers that are directly hosted in SLT are also down. I think it will be a temporary thing.

As for the limiting the usage of unlimited packages, if you bought your connection before may 2011 and have not signed any contracts regarding a FUP they cannot throttle you. Simply call TRC and complain, they will ask for your username and will get you off the heavy users list (happened to me also).

  20. Your van is infected with Stuxnet. But srsly, a short can wreak all kinds of havoc with electronics. A crapped out alternator wouldn't cause this kind of behaviour, it will just illuminate the abnormal battery charge and maybe the check engine indicator. Start by checking for a loose (+)ve wire somewhere touching the body.
  21. Living beyond my means!!

  22. Since when is a light turning a different colour a mechanical problem? A guy in the office brought a prius to work once. The power button indicator turned amber when it was pressed without keeping your foot on the brake pedal (real world equivalent to ACC I think?).

  24. I'll admit it's not a simulator of any production car, but it's got excellent physics and massive fun factor. It's the only reason why I even have a PC. Hardly anything like Mario Kart.
  25. TrackMania Nations Forever. nuff said.
