  1. You're getting yourself a mountain goat?
  2. IMO the only viable diesel conversions these days are the SBV Townace/Liteace conversions and the Korean sedans and MPVs.
  3. stupid internet made a double post.
  4. That's only high end cars with multi memory power seats. In regular cars, there's a micro switch in the seat belt receptacle for that, or in the case of our van, the belt warning light was defeated by simply pulling the seat belt out a few inches and securing it to the load bearing bar behind the front seats. It had the sensor in the belt reel.
  5. I believe cars have a sensor in the seat for the airbag. Someone close to me was involved in a crash where she was not wearing her belt. What saved her was the airbag, otherwise she would've gone through the windshield. I'm sure the same feature would be there for the driver too. And I've seen a connector under my car's driver's seat which I'm pretty sure is hooked up to a pressure sensor in the seat.
  6. Use a phone holder. If a cop stops you for using your phone while its in the cradle, you can ask him how is it different from operating the radio.
  7. Dude, thats a very well known proverb, nothing funny about it
  8. Does your car have a submerged fuel pump?
  9. Check if air is being drawn into the fuel line.
  10. Don't forget the Caterham! Edit: and yes, the new nose on the Ferrari reminds me of a plastic model of a female body part.
  11. He's probably thinking of Sargent Nallathambi, or the Keystone Kops.
  12. It's a Tercel or Corsa. Which also explains why it has no airbags.
  13. Are the 3 litre and 1KZ versions not the same? AFAIK, only the softer version of the 70 series (KZJ78 and 71) received this engine, and prior it had the 2.4 turbo. There were no 3 litre options for the hardcore 70 series; recalling from memory there was the 3.4 13B , 3.5 PZJ and 4.2 HZJ, and now the non turbo V8 VDJ, although the 4.2 is still available. Edit: I should also add that the 70 series being such an awesome vehicle (I will take one over a defender any day of the week), market price dynamics would be more closer to the Defender than when compared to regular vehicles on the market.
  14. They were testing the fix for the premature airbag deployment issue the CTS-V was coupe having. Looks like its a success.
  15. Pita passe crystal light.
  16. I, being a complete luddite, am against computerizing cars. Having said that, I would say the chances of the electronics in your vehicle malfunctioning are no more than your turbo blowing up. Electronics have always been resilient, the reason why we've seen only the recent surge of playstation cars is because it is now more economically viable to fit them into your car (sometimes even cheaper than a mechanical alternative). Consider the simple case of LED tail lights; LEDs have been around for over 40 years, but became common place in cars only in the late 90s starting with the Altezza, simply because the cost of super bright LEDs were cheap enough by the dozen to be used for automotive purposes.
  17. yarly, one has no business driving on SL roads if their depth perception is such that they can't distinguish when an object is closing up on them.
  18. And make sure she was sans bra with shirt loosely buttoned.
  19. Where's Jacqueline when we need her.
  20. Considering the number of shitty vehicles I've seen on the E01, I welcome the fitness certificate with arms wide open. I still have the image of a metallic mint green maruti 800, left rear wheel bouncing like mad and barely managing 80, driving on the right side lane, blissfully oblivious of the rules and the inconvenience they were causing for other drivers.
  21. Zambo, ask your dada to buy this for you on your birthday, and we'll dream of a day when your nonsensical posting ends.
  22. Did you get the throttle body checked? That's responsible for creating the air/fuel mixture.
  23. And we all know how well behaved Ashok Leyland drivers because they never tailgate us.
  24. Seeing this $hit isn't common? The kotte road is chock full of it. Buses have the best vantage point though.
  25. I've decided to go back to WP7. I briefly owned an HTC HD7 and absolutely loved the interface, and this was pre-mango. My sights are set on the Nokia Lumia 900 coming out next month in the US. Currently using a very hacked HTC Desire S.
