  1. For crying out loud- Its not even on straight !!!
  2. ...the chap who just took over the reins at Sampath Bank? Hmmm....k I guess I'm making a withdrawal then
  3. Ugh! You got that right. Reminds me of the lime green and black 911 2.7 RS that were all the range in the 70's. Its almost as if the Porsche design team do it on purpose once they realize they've developed the best possible skunk works version of a particular model line; just to weed out the enthusiasts from the posers. All things considered its probably not a bad thing, for if Mercedes-Benz and McLaren had done something similiar we possibly wouldn't have this going on

Yeap, true: Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM Telephoto Zoom Lens = CAN$ 1380 Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM Telephoto Zoom Lens = CAN$ 2099 And this price difference is because of the different maximum aperture size I suppose? But then doesn't that mean that the one with the larger aperture size (the 1st lens) should be the one to cost more and not vice-versa?

Hmm strange, the site I compared on has them priced differently: Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS Lens = CAN$ 350 Canon EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 III USM Telephoto Zoom Lens = CAN$ 270 Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Telephoto Zoom Lens =CAN$ 780 (Sorry I edited the last post on you; I was googling left, right and center trying to figuare everything out and had the 'quick edit' page open whilst doing so.)

Okay, but the lens you and Pericles own: The ef-s 55-250mm IS is about the same price as the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 II USM despite the latter seeming to yeild a greater usable range of focus (okay, not really sure about the terminology there but you know what I mean right?) so when choosing between the two what would cause you to pick the former over the latter? Edit: After a bit of googling I stumbled across the EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM which led me to notice that the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 II USM doesn't have IS. I guess that's it then? I mean, if you're using the lens without a support, getting a decent picture without IS at 300mm or there abouts is going to be tough. Since the EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM is roughly twice the price of the ef-s 55-250mm IS I guess it makes the latter a better choice / more cost effective for general use.

Ah, this lens business is totally confusing....So what's the difference between that and the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 II USM Lens? (Checked out your flickr page: Pretty nice work man; liking the pics of the Skyline quite a bit. And scotty's a total chick magnet btw...If I lived close by I'd be begging to walk the fella every now and then. Remember that thread about the 'pulling' power of sports cars or something to that effect? Well I bet you ole Scotty would have every single car on that list beat, hands down! )

Oooh good choice of Camera. But that`s a LOT of saving up man....
  12. That`s the best part about it man; the Montero is one of the few high-end cars you can buy in Sri Lanka that don`t draw too much attention...and err where exactly do you live again?
  13. Okay man, that makes NO sense. You haven`t by any chance been smoking any of the foliage that`s featured in your avatar and signature now have you...
  14. lol !!! I guess its a no brainer why you like your Alfa so much....
  15. Ah, so it is just Mitsubishi owners who have to worry about umm.... greasing up their nipples properly?
  16. Well F me, but is this article supposed to me in FAVOUR of buying the Mito? After going on for a full page about how he fulfilled a life long wet dream by buying himself an overpriced watch; JC concludes by saying that the Mini is better looking, more fun to drive, and is built better...so the what's his point about buying the Mito again? Oh wait, thats right, sandwitched in-between his page long rant about buying a watch and waking up 20 years later as an ugly balding man; he happens to mention amongst other things that its 'cos you get to A: Brag about driving an Alfa at parties B: So you can enjoy quality time at your local garage with your best mate: The mechanic. C: Enjoy all the weird quirky little things the design team stuck in it D: Because the steering input is similar to fondling a pair of silicone breast implants Right. Now those are really, really, strong reasons to rush down to to my local dealership and fork over a deposit. I'm going to get right on that....
  17. Me too. Its beautiful. Not a huge fan of the new Mito but the GTA is absolutely breath taking. If only I had the time and the money....
  18. lol !! I see one your friends has very cleverly elected himself supervisor, and elected to direct rather than push
  19. Two similar bikes? How come? You planning on using the MTX to compete?
  20. Atta-boy !! lol!! (always wanted an MTX. I heard on the grapevine that they were prone to overheating though, as they weren't really meant for everyday use in stop-go traffic? Your thoughts?)
  21. lol. Should have just kept driving; doubt he'd have been able to regain his composure fast enough to give chase
  22. That actually looks a lot better than the previous offerings. I'd still pick the Zen though.
