  1. happy birthday mate. have a good one
  2. i noticed the same. but its less boring when you momentarily go OT (say with lady gaga ) to add some much needed excitement on rather drab topics. but i see your point mate. as the premier automotive forum in sl we should indeed make an example. however anyone can open a thread about something utterly contradictory ahem! *cough* ...wont mention names here. the sort of thing that would bring out that sense of playfulness in us all. and by not going off topic ever and by acting like real petrol heads (with a beard, greasy fingernails, mechanics bum crack etc etc) we might be miss that little something that makes us want to log in so often. i'm not saying we should go OT on purpose. but if we must we should apologise beforehand and if it does seem to continue going off topic we should remind the others what the priority is. but personally i think there's no harm going OT when nearly the whole community agrees the topic is pretty much useless (definitely not the tata nano. but i think that thread itself sums up everything about it).
  3. thank god it was a short trip. for the sake of the 3 row passengers. or more importanly the one the middle
  4. i think this thread explains what the tata nano is. truly unmemorable
  5. happy birthday mate! hope you had a good one
  6. i got that episode on me. its ep11 if i'm not mistaken. his point is car noises are just noises. the thing with the f1 cars is they have such a wide rpm range you can pull this off. i'm sure its an electronic throttle/fly by wire setup. so i'm sure it can be operated without actually having to mess with the throtte pedal. and remember f1 cars probably have a very light/no flywheel at all. and the engines themselves are hardly lazy so you can get them upto any speed instantly.
  7. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhsnPOudWJA there's the answer to your question mate seriously my first impressions of her was "oh no! not another one". now i cant get enough of her
  8. i bet thats a triumph something something @ rangerover i've given up buying models in sl. extreme motors was the last place i shopped. not sure if they do it now. let alone if they still exist
  9. last night i was told by 2 spanish girls at a party i'm gay for listening to lady gaga
  10. i second that
  11. perhaps you guys didnt notice the sarcasm i intended in that post anyways seeing a fellow lady gaga fan see if you pull of this one off mate
  12. you should find him here. i got the exact same model. its got a few quirky bits. like folding seats armrests. even carpets feel like the actual items u get in the car. i think there was over supply and i dont recommend u spending more than £20 on it. i bought mine for 4500 some 5 years back from a shop in maya avenue.
  13. I'm seriously considering buying a scangauge II. just bothered about 2 things. firstly if its the best choice for a trip computer/onboard diagnostics unit. and also if its going to be replaced soon cos i really don't like the way it looks. has anyone got one of these in sl? and if you have no idea what i'm on about its all good cos that means you have a life. anyways here's a helpful link.
  14. yep that was where the williams f1 car was. btw here's a few samples of what you missed ever wondered where they got the inspiration for the 307 sz rear end? i bet those girls didnt have a clue on what they were empazising and on the side a shot of my mates rather unsuccessful attempt to chat up a gtr girl
  15. footballists! tsk tsk tsk
  16. I think its aformentioned murunga power has attracted quite a crowd. look at the refelection on the boot
  17. thats exactly my point. after that post i had to go off and dance to britney spears's hit me baby one more time for 2 hours straight make that rush go away dumb indians!
  18. LJK Setright once described the citroen DS as the most modern car ever. and trust me. this happened only 5 years ago.
  19. thats a typical american display of "more hp than sense"
  20. did u at least notice the toyo girls on the other side? they had 'em big
  21. Quite a few turned up for sale on ebay within the last few months through this seller in italy. it was slightly overpriced but he had about 10 of them left. i think they are all gone now. wanna take the risk and order it from italy to see what happens?
  22. that started pumping some much needed adrenaline otherwise unheard of when reading about such an unsporting car i wish this was the 50s and we got something like the mini all over again
  23. its ok. at least tell me some specs like engine, yom. and how much is it?
  24. the trick is to ask them about the car. sure you know more. but its a good excuse to chat them up. especially those gtr girls i hit the jackpot with the french birds cos i managed to pull the 2nd fastest time in that twingo game machine
  25. well its because in most ferraris the engine itself is a part of the structure. thats why they just get ripped to bits when they crash. cos as strong as it may be its very brittle. but its a better solution rather than having to build a whole spaceframe to accomodate various suspension and body components which is highly unnecessary when the engine is so rigid.
