If you have a budget of 2.7, don't look to spend all of that on a car (unless its an exceptional deal). Regardless of which car you buy, you will have to spend on insurance, repairs (if it's used/unreg) and so on. Also consider upgrades. If you can, buy a car for 2m, remaining money can be used to get a killer sound system, 19 inch rims and various other crazy stuff. You could also upgrade the suspension (which is useful in this country). As crazy as it sounds, if you bought a car for 2m, you could buy a whole other car for the 0.7. OK it wont be new or even remotely new (unless you consider one of those mini van things but even they go for more than 0.7 now). What are you really looking for? If you want kick ass performance, a Subaru would be a definite idea: 4wd and turbocharging makes those things serious performers (and the rally bred suspension actually makes sense for our roads). Aside from Subaru's there are many options you can pick in that price range. well, best of luck! and do post a photo when you buy

Generally using the gearbox to slow down the vehicle (even in a manual) puts stress on it (and the engine). this can wreak all kinds of havoc.

Khalid is a fun chap.. very entertaining too - fellow has quite a twisted sense of humor and an opinion on... Everything!! I do recommend training there. The training is quite a workout too, and you can always practice your new skills on family members/tuk tuk drivers.

Yes it uses the engine of a honda buddy van. In theory it may use other components (transmission? etc?) But seriously!! It's such a tiny car. If U are in an accident they will need dental records to identify u I've seen a yellow one occationally.. and saw a nice condition red one about 2 days ago. It's such a shockingly small car, doesn't seem safe

Hi Madz A lot of people including myself do use autolanka advertising (I've personally advertised three vehicles there so far with positive results). At the same time occationally forum members ask each other questions on specific products and informally pass on contact data on pricing etc. This is not an attempt to circumvent autolanka's classified but just ordinary forum members helping each other. For example, in this case, someone is requesting info on a specific car. What I would like to suggest is: allow people the opportunity to reply specific requests like this with answers, as they are not trying to make a profit or something, just trying to help someone out... I'm not trying to criticize you or anyone. As this is your site you are obviously free to act as you choose however I hope you will consider my suggestions... :-)

Not absolutely sure as prices change regularly - check Unity Plaza? also, if you are using a modern digital camera try to go for a hgh speed card - this is useful if you are shooting high res photos or video...

Once again P*la *uto save the day! Last time I went there they were kind enough to offer me something to drink and charge me nothing for the work! (unbelievable I know). DVD writers go for as low as $30 outside, so I would suggest you get a DVD writer instead (yes they can write CD's also) In SL I'm not sure what price they go for, but its definitely under 10k Rather than getting an external drive, its cheaper to get a normal drive, and get an external USB/firewire case for the drive As for brands, most are OK: e.g. NEC, Sony, Samsung (korean ones like Samsung are quite good value for money) Performance wise most are OK. Best thing would be to drop by Unity plaza, see what models they have, and google them and read the reviews. What went wrong with the desktop? Did the hard disk fail? If not you should be able to recover your files.
