  1. @K.o.N.o.S not sure if they deliver in Kandy but i got a Bosch set from GreaseMonkey If you have a D*MO Mart around they'll likely have it at the best price
  2. @K.o.N.o.S GL plate 2001 Subaru GD chassis (bug eye) with a 2005+ nose cut (Hawk eye) Was it that WRX 7 which had it's front end "updated" ages ago? It was the Subaru World Rally Blue Mica if I recall? Wonder if that will open up another can of worms regarding the legality of conversions & modifications ?‍♂️
  3. @speed8 you're sure we have at least one specimen here in Sri Lanka?
  4. ATCO have been in business for ages - they used to be a decent outfit. I haven't been there since the late 90's early 2000's so can't comment about the present but they were fine back then Not sure if new Civic's are his thing but can recommend Janaka who took over the Suraweera AC business for difficult jobs (like on uncommon cars, European cars, exotics, vintage & classic cars etc) 077 942 7178
  5. @gayanath weren't most Toyota hybrids prone to ABS actuator failure?
  6. @matroska always nice to see one but that one doesn't look nice and shiny like the ones in your picture ?
  7. Was it an Automated Manual Transmission like in the Proton Savvy @Pericles?
  8. The ones made in Japan usually are of a slightly softer rubber compound @thusharak340 but don't discount some of the options from reputed manufacturers who produce elsewhere. A number of Pirelli options are imported from various (eastern?) european countries for an example 165 / 65 R14 right? D*MO represents BF Goodrich locally - they had an option below 15k and so did Toyota Lanka who stock Pirelli (Turkish or Romanian made)
  9. I have learned the hard way sadly that investing on fundamentals in relation to (most) local stocks don't result in even medium term gains So much speculation (& alleged insider trading) - just look at the drama that followed the post-war boom and 2011/12 bust Paper stocks flourished for no reason It was (is?) more of a gamble than a sound business play in Sri Lanka IMO
  10. @vitz yikes! sounds like an absolute disaster ?‍♂️ I entertained the idea of getting a Korando at some point but clearly based on what you've just shared i'll perish that though ? In that sense some agents like Subaru Senok still are & pre-Al Futaim A*W were, a real pleasure to deal with.
  11. @Kavvz it's a pre-facelift number with a full conversion kit i believe. Smart looking car either way ? Personally i'm partial to the teledial rims - the GTA ones or even the small ones
  12. @Ratnayake these are Italian made Alfa Romeo 156's Gorgeous looking exterior styles by Giugiaro and equally nice interior too with the leather trim done by MOMO! http://australiancar.reviews/_pdfs/AlfaRomeo_156-156Sportwagon_1999-III_Brochure_200402.pdf Even the engines looked pretty Shame the only V6's here were on the 164 (& possibly the ex Italian embassy 166?)
  13. You are missing out @AVANTE - that's quite the picture @matroska ?
  14. @matroska one of those which was rotting with a Nissan engine (post Tsunami damage I think) was restored by an enthusiast or so i've heard
  15. Doesn't sound like too much trouble, at least in relation to issues like the DCT drama in that this sounds like a straightforward fix ?
  16. @iRage ko?!
  17. Whoa! Blast from the past! My uncle owned one of those in the 1990's!
  18. Agreed - those gauges on the Pajero used to remind me of the old school analogue cockpit instruments one would find aboard the aircrafts of that era
  19. @Kavvz what planet have you been on men?! ?‍♂️? Despite the initial attempt of the Chinese reboot of MG, to sell the MG6 here wasn't a commercial success and cost UniMo the agency the product itself felt far superior to other Chinese options in the market like the Geely's of the same era. As a PR stunt I think a number of MG6's were assembled in the UK using CKD kits so they could claim they were "British Built" at the time of the relaunch in the UK!
  20. Interesting question @amsandun We used to have active members back in the old days like @GTAm who would have been able to give you insight in to the CSE and other investment options as well
  21. @AVANTE i can't believe i'm playing this game 12 years on!! ??‍♂️?
  22. @Hakunamatata why do you want to buy a Proton??? No 2nd hand market! ?‍♂️? "suspension tuned by Lotus" right @Pericles ??
  23. Proton were (are??) represented by Swedish Trading Not very popular locally desipite the early Protons being based on Mitsubishis (Lancers) There weren't a lot of 3rd party parts vendors or technicians right @Pericles ?
  24. Depends on your criteria! - are you looking for a fuel efficient car or a "sporty" performance car (even a "hot hatch" perhaps?) or one that's easy to sell on or one that's very safe? What is your purpose of use? Is this for use as a daily runner or weekend car?
  25. @matroska it's the diesel rattle - the SU14's sounded like tractors. Nissan clearly didn't have any NVH standards when they made that diesel Bluebird lol As for the 406, such an elegant design for a mainstream car - the coupe was designed by Pininfarina! The other car from the 90's that I have massive soft spot for purely in terms of looks is the Alfa Romeo 156
