  1. They did a Mini right? https://www.facebook.com/VegaInnovations/posts/1140085089496085
  2. ....or the right to procreate ?
  3. Interesting question! I've attached link to the policy document of an insurance company as found on their website. Need to scroll through and see if they make mention of rodents or any animal for that matter. Would they be considered a natural peril??? https://www.fairfirst.lk/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Policy-Jacket-Private-Car.pdf
  4. Agreed @sathyajithj99 - it's odd how it looked like a high roof HR-V. The proportions seemed odd @iRage i've seen one in silver around town so Stafford sold at least 1 that I can attest to ?
  5. There was some rumour floating on some local Facebook page but it sounds very wishy washy
  6. Wasn't there also a B-RV made in India somewhere in that mix as well??
  7. @Ted could it be the valve body or shift solenoids?
  8. If you can find one just to build on what @iRage said, the Mazda 2 (sedan & hatch) imported by Colonial Motors (local agents) is also a solid choice. Good engine, great gearbox!
  9. A prime example! Those knobbly oversized mud terrain tires on tarmac don't help things much either ? I've only ever driven the ones made in Solihull @Kavvz? Gut feeling tells me i'm not missing much ?
  10. @Pericles first, @madmax now you?! ?
  11. @tilvin ever considered a Subaru? The Forester has station wagon functionality with AWD SUV capability and the turbocharged ones have sports car performance ? Very reliable (like most Japanese cars usually are) but charming to drive like a European car, with character
  12. Also let's not forget the implications of a 2" lift on a 90's SUV chassis when driven on road "moose test" @Kavvz??
  13. Since section C is applicable to the end user I think you form alone should suffice.?
  14. Oh no that's the one of Italian origin made by Magneti Marelli? What exactly is the issue? There seem to be various well documented issues here https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/technical-stuff/186270-marutis-amt-woes.html Locally people have recommended the following two places for auto box repairs - I don't have any personal experience with either so can't say much Rajeev Dassanayake 0777 320 550 Nilawala Chandana 0773 027 118
  15. If i'm not mistaken it's just to denote that it is Right Hand Drive https://toyota-general.epc-data.com/hilux/ln166r/
  16. @KavvzIronman has a kit https://www.ironman4x4.co.ke/html/ssangyong/59.html
  17. @CARSMITH sounds interesting! This is the one with the old OM60x series diesel right? Hmmm I'm going to play devil's advocate and ask if there is sufficient ROI to justify the effort of undertaking such an exercise? I know @Kavvz will enjoy reading about it but it's going to be a lot of work. Not to discourage you but getting suspension geometry right is tricky! Have you tried reaching out to any local off road / 4x4 experts for any help?
  18. @The Don for the record, it wasn't just you??
  19. @sathyajithj99 i'm unconvinced about DCT's for daily use in any market similar to ours where most urban users face bumper to bumper traffic in hot & humid conditions It's not just Honda. Even VW has had issues and Ford agreed to settle a class action lawsuit against them! https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a30689585/ford-settlement-transmission-lawsuit/ https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a27438193/ford-powershift-transmission-problems/ This is on top of the lawsuit they lost in Thailand (a first for a foreign automaker! ?‍♂️) https://www.bangkokpost.com/business/1544518/ford-to-pay-b23m-to-car-owners-in-class-action-ruling
  20. @tilvin if you don't mind me asking, why the X1?? Fellow member @VVTi manages Ultimate Motorworks in Boralesgamuwa who specialise in BMW's so he may be able to give you some feedback
  21. So i picked one of these up a few years ago @fiat fan https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_folder-7453.php Sadly didn't have quite the effect of the old flip phones but it ran on Android but had a physical T9 3x4 keyboard Really well built! - "'KDM" version if you will ?
  22. It's one of these @AVANTE https://www.catphones.com/en-gb/cat-s41-smartphone/ The phone is brilliant - no major complaints. Performs well, doesn't hang, multitasks happily. It is very robust. The battery is the party piece - it'll last a full day with everything going (WiFi, music streaming, Chrome & the usual stack of Apps) It's pretty much stock Android - without bloatware or a manufacturer UI like Samsung's TouchWiz. There is only one thing wrong with it - the Camera. It's plain rubbish in low light or anything close to it (indoors) I notice the local "Agent" selling it for more now, than what I bought it for in late 2017 A friend of mine who has the S61 (with FLIR thermal camera as well!) ends up with better pictures
